Willard’s coach pisses J Rod off in the 4th

Believe it’s bc Webb was playing their Jv due to the blowout and Willard kept their varsity in and kept going deep.
They have a past of bad blood but this wasn't the case tonight . Webb up 44-6@ half . Webb got the ball first in the second half with the running clock ....Webb started the half with the JV and Willard kicked Webb's jv butt . Score started to get somewhat close so starters came back in a possession and extended it back to running clock . Nothing to see here
From my view he was yelling at the ref but at any rate it went from 44-6 to 44-18 so starters returned .
Talked with Webb’s sideline radio guy... he verified J Rod was extremely irked. After 3 straight bomb attempts. Quote “ I want my #1 return team and then my # 1 offense... leave no doubt”
Webb has #3’s in on defense and Willard was going all macho when they scored on the sophomores. Don’t think we had. D line guy that was 150 lbs.
Lol, very good sign of poor character when a coach continues to play his varsity vs JV. Good for J Rod. He should’ve score 10 more touchdowns
So you should shut your seniors down and give up their last game of the season?
I agree. If it is the start of the 3rd quarter, play your varsity kids, probably seniors. They can put their varsity back in if needed. Alot of times teams will keep varsity in and blitz non stop defensively.
West Plains did have two of their 2-way starters out, and QB pulled hammy in 1st quarter, regardless, Bolivar is solid. Their RB and defensive line will give anyone fits.
I don't think there is anything wrong with Willard leaving their starters in the game in an elimination game.

It’s week 11 a coach has his kids still playing in the 3rd qtr and they get excited because they scored (it sounds like) twice against a really good Webb team that had subbed and the coach has low character? I don’t know JRod very well but I bet he was upset at his team giving up the lead.
Before you slander someone about bad character think about his team and the hundreds of hours they put into the season and trying to finish with some high notes. I think that is considered high character. Trying to teach young men life lessons about fighting through adversity and not all things will go your way. But go ahead and bash him for playing his team. Ps I’m not a fan of either team just comment rubber me wrong way.
4th quarter, no one gave up a lead .... might want to get info on game before throwing your 2 cents in........

Sounds like he shouldn’t have put his 3rd string in if he wasn’t comfortable with them seeing a passing play.
I think what got everyone going was a Willar guy catching a long TD pass and dancing sideways into the end zone with it. The kid that was covering him hadn’t seen the field all year. When you have been throughly whipped and the other team calls off the dogs it’s not wise to start acting stupid. Took 4 plays for Webb’s starters to go 80 yards. Then D gave them 3 plays before they had to punt
Next year Willar better come to play 48 minutes and not get offended if they get 100 hung on them

It was not the 4th quarter yet. I was at the game. The turbo clock that was running to start the 3rd quarter stopped with 1:59 left in the 3rd after the 2nd TD was scored. I do not agree with the celebrating that was going on after the 2nd TD in the 3rd, but the rest of it was fine. They are keeping their varsity in with many seniors that were playing (for most) their last snaps of their lives. I did not see anything wrong with it.
If you were at the game maybe you should have put your cheeseburger down and paid attention better bc it was the 4 th quarter.
You say 3rd qtr. I say 4th. How about a friendly mosports wager ? Loser changes their screen name to “Boskos Gimp” until playoffs are done.....
I agree. I did not think it was protocol to pull your starters who were getting turbo clocked.
I see no problem with either side. No problem with Willard leaving their starters in, but if they want to showboat on sophomores after getting embarrassed, then you better be ready for the varsity to come back and hang some more on you.
I may be a bleacher creature,, but I have watched split back veer for 30 years and would have been smart enough to have changed my defense a long time before I let the QB put 248 yards rushing in the record book against me that’s for dang sure
