#4 Hannibal 15 at #5 Kirksville 16 final

Well, I am shocked and was way wrong. What a huge win for Kirksville. Guess I should have known better looking at the pedigree of a couple of those assistant coaches for Kville......

Kirksville was more physical. Hannibal had the speed advantage. They should have continued the outside stuff in the run game. Kirksville played ball control to a T milking every single snap. Also Hannibal was not sharp in the turnover and penalty department.

Neither team is any threat in the playoffs and probably won't even get a district title. Still, first time in my memory Kirksville has been in this position this far into a season so good for them.

Hannibal's offense was bad in the first half....first five possessions were fumble, turnover on downs, fumble, punt, and interception. The defense was put in some really bad situations, and to only be down 9-0 at the half was lucky. Not sure why Hannibal didn't do more outside run and pass game. They had guys open for big plays a couple times, but just missed and didn't go back to it. They are pretty predictable on offense. Defense could've been better, but played good enough to win. Injuries have really been hurting them this season, and had more last night.

I don’t know if I agree with that. I’ve not seen anything out of FZS or Warrenton that makes me think they are better that Kirksville or Hannibal.

Same here. Warrenton and FZS hasn’t prove me that they’re right up there with Hannibal or Kirksville

My full opinion about last night. Gschwender got outcoached by Nesbitt and the Kirksville tigers. Bad play calling by Hannibal. Tired and tired of running up the middle all the dang time and not throwing the ball more often. I think the game plan was run all game. Hannibal have receivers who can go out and catch some ball and go down field. Right now I don’t think Hannibal is in the conversation for being the top 5 best team in Class 4. On the other note hopefully we didn’t lose our starting RB Ferreira for the season but how he was talking in McDonald’s last night he’s saying he’s playing next week so I don’t know.

hopefully Hannibal can get back up to at least 3rd or 4th in districts but at the looks of it. It’s going to be hard to catch 4th…
