I believe all students should be treated the same. If one gets a scholarship everyone should. It simply isn't fair that just because they did the work and excelled that they should get more than others.

I don't think the article is intended to imply we should subtract from A and give to B.

The article may or may not be intended for that, but there isn't any question many on this board support that.

Look on bright side. This generation has to take care of us when we get old. Who is going to pay for the entitlement funds? It's trickle down economics. It won't cost you a penny in your savings. It's a win, win. These kids are smart, and they'll create a booming economy once we give them 6K a year.

So, that means no, correct?
What is poor in Haiti, China, France, and anywhere else isn't the same as Poor here. Only in America are the panhandlers distracted by their smartphones.

Yes. Everyone who is poor is faking it and could be rich in a heart beat if they just were valiant like you.

We have no poor people in the USA. You want to see poor people go to San Salvador and check out thousands of people living in the city dump under plastic tents

What we have here in the USA is pretty much lazy people

In France? Really? You think it isn't basically the same thing?

I am not going to deny that many poor people make many bad choices but this is totally extreme in the other direction

YOU are the one trying to say America has a higher percentage of poor. I'm just showing that poor in America is only poor compared to other Americans. By that standard, there will always be a bottom 5% considered poor.
