Why hasn't Obama endorsed Biden? (And why is Bernie keeping his delegates?)

He is keeping his delegates so he can have significant input on the party platform. Is this your first rodeo?

Highlights from today's presser...

What are our thoughts on this?
He's an immoral Socialist kook that's never held a job.
Biden's best attribute is he's not dead. Behind the scenes Obama helped Biden by hosing Bernie.
Some other guy has got to replace Biden.
Bernie can still drag the party further left, this is why he I wish he'd stay in his basement.

Obama will want to make a big splash with man hugs, etc. not possible yet. Or perhaps because Michelle will be VP?

Obama will come forward pretty soon with his endorsement I suspect. Bernie is a different story, not sure if or when he will come around. I believe that the last 3 years have just worn people down, and they don't have the appetite for 4 more years of this reality show. Biden is a safe pick and what many people are looking for. I for 1 don't feel safer or better off than I was 3 years ago. The big key now is to make sure everybody has access to voting without risking their health.

What odds do you guys place on Trump getting beat on election night?

I'm not well versed in the Democratic Primary process...other than it rigged it so Hilary could win last time.

Why do you think Obama hasn't endorsed Biden yet?
How often do former Presidents publicly endorse a candidate before a primary is effectively over?

Also, in a battle of Joe vs. Bernie, not exactly a shocker who Obama would want to win.

Plenty of people have endorsed candidates already. And it would help solidify liberal support.

You didn’t really answer the question. (I’m my opinion)

Because former Presidents don't endorse their party's candidate until the voters have spoken. Obviously, there are exceptions like Bill being for Hillary or GWB being for Jeb, but you wouldn't have expected Ford to make an endorsement in 1996 or something like that. You'd expect them to come out once the primary was over.

Biden probably also wants to roll this out in a way that gets attention from black voters, which may be tough right now given the virus.

Okay. I hear you. Do you smell any funny business? Think something else might be cooking?
