This could be a good question for the guy that travels Missouri and reports on stadiums .

I'll speak of the one I have knowledge of : the COC large

Republic : Brand new stadium . Field turf ...haven't seen it in person but looks awesome

Carthage: 1 year old facility. Field Turf . Beautiful

Joplin : Tons of seating . Field Turf . Made upgrades a few years back . Very nice

Carl Junction: Field turf . Made upgrades a few years back .... extremely cool atmosphere

Webb City : New turf last year . Back drop with the dome is hard to beat . Tons of seating

Ozark: Field Turf ....super nice facility

Nixa : Field Turf. ..not as nice as Ozark but very nice

Branson : Field turf . Great home side seating ...amazing place ....their old field (I think the Jr high uses it now) was the nicest grass field I've ever seen

Neosho: Grass field . Tons of seating and a cool atmosphere being down in a valley

Willard: cow pasture but has funnel cakes

While it may not be the best the SEMO North should be mentioned.
Poplar Bluff-New facility with cool setting in a bowl.
Farmington-On it's second round of turf. Ample seating on both sides. Press Box on both sides.
Jackson-Seating is a bit tight on visitors side but home side is awesome. All a part of the unique quality of the facility. Getting Turf this summer.
Cape Central-5000 seats. Killer press box
Sikeston-The only grass surface in the conference but always in great shape. Tons of seating on both sides. While it may not have the turf and fancy stuff the others have most schools would be lucky to have this facility.

Willard ... :D... funnel cakes go a long, long way!

It's probably not the Big 8.
Mt. Vernon has new digs -- Monett's setup is pretty new-- and the 'new' Big 8 schools might boast newer venues but the 'old school schools' are still much the same as they have been with some added paint and upkeep.
That being said?
Lamar has some GREAT grass and Seneca never disappoints on the 'atmosphere'.
Less wealthy districts often have to wait for a generous gift from a member of the community to upgrade. I've been to some class one and class two fields that are very literally not something a bigger or wealthier district would even practice on!

Suburban XII-South (St. Louis)
Kirkwood and Pattonville are untouchable when it comes to modern prep sports complexes. Parkway North and Rockwood Summit both feature high quality turf fields with updated bleachers/seating.

For Class 3/2 conferences - Tri-County has some pretty good facilities in Blair Oaks, California, Versailles, Eldon, Osage and Boonville.

I agree the COC has some good facilities. But is it better than other similar sized conference? My assumption is they are pretty comparable to other class 5ish schools. It would be interesting to see more examples. The photos I saw from Carthage at Staley - that place looked suitable to host MIAA games. Growing suburban types are almost always going to have better facilities than smaller more isolated towns or even landlocked urban districts just due to economies of scale and growth that necessitates or at least helps justify new construction - not to mention a taxpayer base that might be more receptive to these projects.

I googled a few of those SEMO North ones. Jackson looks pretty unique.

Inconsistency in the KC Suburban Conferences. Liberty and LIberty North have brand new stadiums. But Park Hill South doesn't have their own. NKC is a cool stadium, but share it with others. There are some bad facilities in each of the divisions.

Festus is in the midst of some major renovations. Should be nice...

I don't get down there anymore but my brother still lives in town. Sends me pictures when he drives by. Looks super nice. Other than the press box and turf that set up has been that way since I was a little kid.

Sounds like my son and me needs to get back out on the road. Seems that some of the places we have been have now upgraded. Speaking of bad place, Sarcoxie was one of worst place we ever saw and now I hear it is one of the best for it's size.

I rarely get over that way anymore, but I am looking forward to seeing the end result.

The Festus Supe put some pictures out on twitter yesterday. check them out on his twitter handle @FestusR6Supt. It looks awesome... I will venture to say it will be the nicest facility in the state of Missouri.

I haven't seen it in person but in photos it does look very nice. Seems like many rural school that small are struggling just to stay alive so it's nice to see them be able to do something like that. Before the rennovation it was very rough and primitive, though probably about normal for class 1.

COC large does have some really nice football stadiums, But the product on the field is nothing like the stadium, well besides Webb.

How so? Cj has been a top 5 team the last few years in Class 4 . Carthage, Ozark and Nixa have all made deep runs in Class 5 the last several years . Branson, Republic , Willard and Neosho have been struggling....I'll give you that

Broken Arrow, Union, Jenks, Owasso. There isn't anything in Missouri at the high school level quite like those stadiums, and only a handful of the college football stadiums in Missouri are in their league.

Every football fan in Missouri should take a trip to the Tulsa area and take in a game. I spent two years there and am glad I got the opportunity. Pretty unique.

Not to take anything away from Sarcoxie, cause it is NICE.
But most Small School could also do this if a "Rich Fan" leave 'em a Boat Load of Funds. LOL

By 2019 Ladue will have a brand new stadium with turf, big grandstand on one side, a proper entrance, and more upgraded facilities.

North doesn't have the greatest press box, but everything else is good. I also like how they have a hill on the visitors side where you can either stand next to a tree or sit down on a blanket if you like. Haven't been inside Kirkwood or Pattonville's press boxes, but they look first class and I agree with the rest of your statements.

In Class 1, I cant think of a better facility then the one at West Platte.

Sarcoxie's facilities are the finest in class 1 now. Great game there last year with long time rival Pierce City and a crowd I'd estimate at 4000? Can't beat the admission price either!

Top 5? come on based on rankings? Even if Webb was not in CJ's way they would probable never made it to the title game. They couldn't even make it past class 2 Lamar their last year in the conference.

Yes the others have made deep runs in Class 5... but have never beaten Webb a class 4 school. Ozark, Nixa and Carthage's runs have been more of a product that they all play each other in the weak SW class 5 this area most class 5 school are mediocre. Once they run into a class 5 school from KC that has some talent they usually get beat. Nobody has ever penciled in one of those schools to be a state contender. They are just happy to be runner up to make deep runs as you say.

First of all, I don't understand the hate . Cj was top 5 because they destroyed everyone they played the last 3 years except Webb city whom they beat once in that time frame ..there have been years when I felt like cj was Webb's first or second best opponent . Carthage also beat Webb ..so did Ozark. I believe Nixa was about 6 points away from a state championship a few years ago. Carthage has lost in the semifinals I think two years ago. Ozarks best run in recent memory ended to Lee summit west (who won state btw) Ozark was up 28 at half and blew it . In class 5 KC is typically king ...can't argue that but to say they aren't good is ignorant. I'd actually argue the opposite. I think the COC is so talented that they beat each other up otherwise they would have more state ranked teams .

Take last year for example. ..if cj gets past Webb then they would have easily rolled to the semifinals . Would they have beat Platte County? Not sure ...they seemed pretty equal. Would have been a great game . Would they beat ladue ? Again not sure but their offense would have probably had more success then Webb did due to how fantastic ladues defensive line was and the drastic differences in schemes. I think Webb ran for almost 350 yards on them but it was crazy tough sledding against that front. Cj may have been able to spread them out like FZN did . Again ...who knows

No I drove by sarcoxie a few weeks ago. Google west platte football stadium. 12 million dollar facility. They have a power plant that provides crazy tax money. They did not even run a bond. Just wrote a check.

No offense but 12m for what? It's a nice field ....it has turf ... A new track but no real seating or other infrastructure to warrent that price . For 12m you should have an indoor practice facility , huge seating , and big grandstands . Perhaps I'm wrong but I heard Webb spent less than 3m on their field . It's infinity better. Maybe I'm blinded by their 40m $ dome that overlooks the stadium

So as an outsider who may move into the area that has zero berring on your decision ? Facilities, conference, past success ?

Let’s pump the brakes Hitch. Some years I agree but not last year. If CJ would have beat WC in districts there is a chance they and Harrisonville would still be playing in a 0-0 tie in the elevendybillionth overtime.
While I don’t think Platte and Ladue blow them out I don’t think it would have been all that close either. Just my opinion.

I was at the CJ Webb city game last year, was not impressed with CJ at all against Webb. Sorry Harrisonville probable beats CJ by a touchdown or two.

See this just goes to show you don't know much about area football outside the COC large, your COC glasses are clouding your vision for good football. Lamar beat CJ 56-34 the last year they were in the Big 8, so no they got destroyed by a class 2 school their last year in the Conference which was 2015 it is just 2018 so that was just two years ago. Your COC large basis is showing thru.

Carthage Ozark and Nixa once they get past the local class 5 schools are done you can pretty much count on it they are not going to make it to the show They are pretty much like St Louis area of class 5 good but not over the hump yet. Sorry they currently just don't play football on the same level as the top 5 class school do in KC. Also not sure how far those schools would get in the playoffs if they were in class 4, well we do know, they usually cannot get past CJ and Webb. Now that all being said they have the facilities just not the product yet...but things can change I thought once Webb joined the conference you would see them step up their game and we would see some really good class 5 & eventually 6 football in this area, just not there yet.
