I feel ya on the mocking thing. But saying the thread has digressed because of hip hop is racist. I think you have a problem with black athletes.I'm being trolled, right?
Did you watch the video? (I sense trolls... why can't I stop!)I feel ya on the mocking thing. But saying the thread has digressed because of hip hop is racist.
You have a tendency to ridicule black folk. I can cut and paste if you want? Ezekiel Elliott comes to mind the most.Did you watch the video? (I sense trolls... why can't I stop!)

So I guess the real question is which poster are you an alias for and are you worth blocking/ignoring/reporting...You have a tendency to ridicule black folk. I can cut and paste if you want? Ezekiel Elliott comes to mind the most.
You can click and ignore, it's a free country. But a guy posts hip hop and you say the music is lower than low. Just saying. You have my permission to ignore. I will ignore your racist arse from now on.So I guess the real question is which poster are you an alias for and are you worth blocking/ignoring/reporting...
Interesting that you know his motive. I haven't read that. Point wasn't fearing for safety. Point is the difference in putting hands on a woman vs. a man.You might legitimately fear for your safety if Ronda rousey is putting her hands on you. Mixon didn't fear for his safety here. He just wanted to put his fist through her skull because she pissed him off.
Where did I argue the point to be able to hit a woman? I don't advocate hitting anyone, regardless of gender. Why would you argue your point to be able to hit a woman... if this, if that... really?
It's not okay for either to hit either...Why is this a hard topic to grasp? Our youth is taught garbage today if they are taught that it's just as OK for a man to hit a woman as it is for a man to hit a man.
Can you think of another motive for a punch like that?Interesting that you know his motive. I haven't read that. Point wasn't fearing for safety. Point is the difference in putting hands on a woman vs. a man.
It is just as okay to hit a man as it is to hit a women..... both are equally WRONG. Both shouldn't happen. It is 100% wrong, but you can't get it through your head that no one is saying it's okay. We are saying it's wrong, regardless of gender, but that doesn't fit your thinking, because you think it's okay to hit a guy.Our youth is taught garbage today if they are taught that it's just as OK for a man to hit a woman as it is for a man to hit a man.
Yeah, that's easy to say now. Was bob stoops somehow confused about what happened? Further proof he should be fired. At best, sheer incompetence.Just read where coach stoops said punishment wasn't near enough and should of
been dismissed, he said if video would of been released when it happen he would of
been gone.
Lol defend this soonersJust read where coach stoops said punishment wasn't near enough and should of
been dismissed, he said if video would of been released when it happen he would of

Unless it was a different interview than I have seen he did not say that if the video had been released when it happened he would have been gone. He said that the world had changed in the last 2.5 years. He talked about being able to rehabilitate an 18 year old. And that is not possible any longer and that there is now a no tolerance policy. He owned up to the possibility of making a mistake in how he handled it and understands why he has drawn criticism from some circles. If they were to fire him every school in the nation looking for a coach would be on the phone with his agent.Yeah, that's easy to say now. Was bob stoops somehow confused about what happened? Further proof he should be fired. At best, sheer incompetence.
I didn't realize it suddenly became wrong to punch a woman like that.He said that the world had changed in the last 2.5 years.
Even if that were true, is that somehow relevant? If they were to fire him every school in the nation looking for a coach would be on the phone with his agent.

You didn't answer my question before, did Mixon lose any playing time as a result of his "suspension," or was he the first player in NCAA history to be allowed to play 5 years? It is not okay to hit women... Stoops never said it was. You want to act like he was not punished and no matter how you want to twist it Mixon was suspended for a year. There can be some debate on if that is severe enough or not, no doubt.
When I was reading this, I kept flashing back to the stuff I read from Baylor fans this past summer.
Different situations for sure and zero chance Stoops is fired but I have to laugh at this notion that two and a half years ago it was just sort of frowned upon by society if you broke a girls face in four places with a punch, now it is really bad if you do that. Really, really bad justification by Bob Stoops.

He did not lose one game of eligibility because of that punch. That is an undisputable fact.Your question has been answered over and over..... YES he did miss playing time... He would have played as a true freshman and did not..... you can spin it any way you want. He did not take part in any team activities for the season. He would have been allowed to.... I know you want to spin the redshirt year... and that is fine.. you will do whatever you can to make it look the worst you can..... that is fine... the fact remains he sat out a season he would have played.
