Down here in Mississippi they are having the championships at Jackson State due to both SEC teams not being done yet. After the 1st qtr of the first game of 6 the field was already torn up and has really got bad here in the 6A game tonight. By tomorrow night when the old lady's alma mater goes for 5 in a row cow pastures will chuckle at the conditions.

Doesn't JSU play at Veterans Memorial Stadium

I am a little worried about the seating at Blair Oaks tomorrow. Both team's fans are supposed to sit on the home side. I am betting Mid-Buc will have a lot of people there and I know Windsor will. Last week in Thayer I think Windsor had as many fans as Thayer, and we drove 4 hours. I know of people that are coming this week that were not there last week. If someone was at the class 2 game tonight I would like to know how the seating was.

Aren't they limiting how many fans can come in?

They handled our huge crowd well when we played there. Very large home side, and tons of open space all around the endzone at the entrance side. Wonder why they aren't using the visiting stands? They are not that large to begin with, so maybe that's a concern.

They have a new set a visitors bleachers since the last time you were there. They can actually hold a decent amount over there now, and they sit up off the ground.

Yeah I don't get why they're not allowing fans on visitors side, doesn't make sense to me. It holds a good 500-600. Their home side holds around 2500, so around 3000 home and visitors for seating. If they used both sides there would be plenty of room to space out and that's not including standing room, because like Cards said there is a bunch of standing room.

Pretty great experience as a fan and parent. You will have plenty of room. I would guess Pius and Lamar both sold out their max of 750, and were all in attendance. Sight lines are good everywhere in that stadium, concessions and entry were well managed and didn't have much wait all night. Kids parking were a little confused, but guessing that gets better each game. Hats off to Blair Oaks staff for a great experience!

The visitor stands were not in use because that is where they took the traditional team pictures.

I remember 1992 when Valle played in the class 1 championship in Springfield Mo. and Ste Genevieve Public played in the class 3 championship at CoMO at about the same time. At least I recall listening to some of the Ste. Gen game on the radio on the way to Springfield. Both teams won and it is a shame that fans could not support both teams.

I’m worried too. I’m not planning on going but I’m a Webb City fan and it is in our DNA to worry about seating at road games...

Props to the Blair Oaks. That was the best concession stand cheeseburger I’ve ever eaten.
I’d even go as far to say there was meat in it and everything .
It's got to be a damn good cheeseburger to beat Cainsville at a softball game. "Real" (i.e., homegrown) tomatoes set those bad boys apart from a lot of places I visit in northwest/north central Missouri.

Is that the one where the nephalim attack the Klingons?
Y'all wrong. Cainsville is located on the west side of the Mercer County/Harrison County line. Part of the East Harrison co-op (with Ridgeway). Old coal mining town. Me and freeze option know.

Why did this thread make me read this as "Where the nerds of the many outweigh the nerds of the few..."
Oh this is nothing. You should have been at the Olathe mega-theater complex back in 2009 for premiere night for the JJ Abrams Star Trek remake. I proudly announced, as a life long R&D chemist, everyone needs to stay after the movie for our Physics Club meeting. Sad and demented but SOCIAL.

Cainsville had some damn good frito pie at basketball games. Still have the short basketball court?

I'm sure they do. Their teacher's salaries have been frozen for the last 8 years or so. I doubt they can afford a bigger gym. I about got a concussion in the Ridgeway gym.

There were several in the CCC way back in the day that were on elevated stages we played on in Middle School. Only tile floor I saw was in the elementary gym. Great kickball surface.

There was (probably still is) some old unique gyms in north central MO. Don't remember school names but remember one was like a barn separate from school and one had the stands like 20-30 feet above floor.

Monroe City, Paris and Shelbina all had gyms that were stages raised several feet above the theater style seating with a balcony. You had to get the ball to the opposite free throw line to be considered past mid-court then you could take the ball back to the other free throw line. Clarence was the school with a court on the first floor and seating on the second floor.
