Webb VS Rockhurst series done

impressive !! But Jeff City is another high school team now. Rockhurst still has it. Still very impressive ! Kudos

Maybe Webb should start up a series with Kearney next?

I still think playing Jenks and Union would be exciting for y'all. Or even Southlake Carroll

That's IF CBC is going to be as good for the years to come??

Personally I would have liked to seen Webb play the Rock back when they had Tony Temple and Sal Capra.

I agree. Jenks would be a great one to add to the list.

I believe Jenks has won the title the last two years down there. And they've played Union 4 times in the last two seasons and beat them 3 out of the 4 times.

They beat Euless Trinity(TX) in 2013 and beat them as well. This year, Euless Trinity knocked off De La Salle #1 in the nation.

CJ better enjoy 2015 season, not going to be as fun from now on

Well their talent level drops off a lot after this years senior class goes. I don't think even if they were in the BIG 8 next year they could win that. And I know their youth program is really struggling with numbers, they almost could not field two teams this year not sure how they got the numbers.

Was wondering what happened to the ROCK and their traveling? They went to Colorado, Vegas, Texas and I thought Minnesota(?) why have they quit? Have they lost some big boosters?

They had a few years where they had four or five D1 players plus other kids like Belfonte ? Sp . I don't think they should travel right now and apparently they agree . They are still good just not like 8/10 years ago . I do remember them going and playing in Colorado Texas Illinois and Hutch Ks was real good for a few years.

It wasn't an IF Rock had this or that, it was a WHEN they had this or that. Rock was much better a decade ago and Webb was just as good. It would have been nice to see them play is all I said.

Give yourself a break. Go take a nap.

A home and home with a Tulsa power would be a lot of fun, and it's not a long drive either. I don't know a lot about those teams but it could be some competition like WC has never faced. The NW Ark schools have some great out of state competition and I suspect that may be what we see on the schedule for at least a few years to come, which after this year will only have 1 non-con slot per year.

Not to disrespect Lamar, they are doing great things and representing the area very well, but I still doubt a match-up between them and Webb would be very competitive. At least not with the way WC has been playing for the last several years.

Because it's hard to get games in football and a scheduling nightmare for all the other sports. Besides you have any idea how many straight conference titles Webb has won

Why does everyone on the outside worry about who Webb schedules. People always complain about their posters, when it's mostly outsiders doing the talking, ie see this post.

It is possible, that with Webb being the best team in the state for the past decade, that people from outside towns have an interest in the program, for instance... This week, Webb isn't just representing themselves when they go to Har-Ber, they're representing the state of Missouri to an extent.

There are far too many reasons web should not be independent they need to be in a conference it's a good thing, I think it's made Carthage better maybe even has Carl junction striving to be better Even though they're not in that conference yet! Plus what if John Roderique and Mike Smith retire or take another job somewhere and the program takes a slight step back Now you're out there trying to put together a schedule and all the team to beat in the past I want a piece of the action LOL Just saying could happen.

Everyone on the outside is insanely jealous that their town can't generate the excitement that the Zinc City has and then tries hard to deflect everyone's attention from their own pathetic schedule.

I would like to see them play someone their size so they are not a walking MASH unit. These games physically take a toll on the kids.

Pittsburg or Camdenton are the only ones worth playing for Webb. Great history and respect amongst the 3 programs. Nothing to prove to anyone anyway

Jenks vs Union Oklahoma Football History:

Jenks Football State Champs
1979 1982 1993 1996 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 (six-peat)
2003 2006 2007 2012 2013 2014

Union Football State Champs
1963 2002 2004 2005
2008 2009 2010 2011 (four-peat)

in Oklahoma football, Jenks is undeniably The King. While Jenks and union have had many battles and union has won a few, Jenks is far more dominant in Oklahoma over the same time-span than WC has been in MO class 4. Now, I would love to see that matchup - Coach Trimble and his Jenks staff & team vs Coach Roderique and the WC crew. It could be legendary - virtually the same coaching records percentage wise, with Trimble having a few more years in as HC. What a match-up that will likely never happen.

Union and Jenks usually play twice a year. The play each other in the regular season, and then almost always end up playing in the championship. Jenks is definitely the more dominant of the two traditionally. Still haven't seen their facilities though. I've been to Unions stadium and locker rooms and weight room. The nicest facilities I've ever seen for a high school. Broken Arrow's stadium isn't near as ritzy as Unions but it was still pretty big.

I thought just s few short years back Jenks had to forfeit a bunch of wins over a couple different seasons I thought for recruiting players out of area or something. Did that not happen? Also didn't Trimble get suspended from his duties of coaching for awhile for cheating? Please, to put he and JROD and Jenks and WEBB in a comparable sentence is blasphemy! They are a powerhouse no question and their facilities (and yes I've seen them Crossland built them) are incredible but I don't think that's a team WEBB wants to play. I like Cammy but think a Kearney or a Fort O would be more of a draw.

Peat, you know I've seen a lot of WC football over the last 15 years, and I've seen Jenks quite a few times, as well as Union & Broken Arrow (my Alma Mater). I respect and understand what you're saying about the football level, but I haven't witnessed anything that WC would ever shy-away from. As we've seen with WC since that 1st championship vs McLuer North (I've seen the videos, heard the stories of how it looked like a big college vs a little high school, etc.), Webb never backs away - they man-up. With exception of a few great players here and there in some years, it's just another great team on the other side of the field and both better show up and play the game at hand. I would love to see the matchup of WC vs Jenks, Union, BA, Bixby - I don't think we would get embarrassed - Webb always earn respect.

As for Coach Trimble and that scandal, it happened, it was blown further out of proportion by rumors as usual, and this article says the most I think about it. He was reinstated because of the character of a man that he is. He and David Alexander (his assistant at the time, now HC at BA and a classmate of my graduating class who was an NFL OL for the Eagles after a standout career at Tulsa U) claimed ownership of what took place and made up for it far more than any harm that was done. They both have highly respected careers, Trimble's especially and he is a great man of character known to me through numerous friends & relatives in Tulsa and in the Jenks program.

Here is the article from his reinstatement day, the rest is history.

I will listen to Webb-Republic on KNEO while attending the Backyard Bowl at Skelly Field Friday night. Should be fun.

Yeah I dont mean WEBB should be scared to play them for fear of losing, its just a game. I just think the WEBB players have enough pressure on them mentally already than to throw in a game against somebody nationally recognized like Jenks. The pressure they aleady feel from not being the ones that got beat or that didnt win it all then add the pressure of playing these bigger programs like the ROCK has got to be overwhelming at times. My youngest was a junior in 07 even though from 7th to 12th grade their class lost one game and it was to cTOWN. The first time cARTHAGE beat WEBB in 20 yearss. It wasnt "we lost" it was "we are the first team to lose to cARTHAGE in 20 years." Its like that week in week out for these guys with almost every team they play in the regular season. The kids in 2013 didnt just lose a regular season game to Har-Ber which by no means should ever be considered a bad loss they knew they lost a game that cost WEBB a 96 or so regular season win streak. I think continuing the tradition means more than their personnal accomplishment, thats tough to deal with.

As far as the coach I dont know him and he very well may be a great man, I hope he is. I do know he/the program got caught doing wrong at least twice as they forfeited games in 08 as well. I dont know very many people who arent remorseful after they are caught wrong doing. Dennis Rader was considered a great person. President of his Church, cub scout leader then he goes and gets arrested and gets 10 life sentences and his true identity "The BTK Killer" is known. Point is and definately not comparing the two by any means just making an example. Its easy to say Im sorry after youve been caught. I dont think Belichek is a bad guy he just does whatever he can to win if that includes bending breaking the rules so be it. Yet he is hated, difference?
