Webb Slayers favored by Calpreps for Friday.

Haha Kearney had 1.5yards per carry more. What were the net turnovevers? Fumbles that were forced. Bahaha. Damn making excuses again.

Making excuses? So do I then say HaHa WEBB averaged a yard more per completion? Yes they did average 1.5 yards more per carry peanut. Of course if you consider WEBB had 3 kids with carries and they all averaged the same, then look at Kearney and they had carries by 6 kids with one kid Myers with two carries for 32 yards. That's a 16 per average on those two carries. Kinda makes the overall average inflated. Wasn't like they were just running it down WEBBs throat. 17-14, as I said, forced or unforced those turnovers made the difference. Hopefully next year the Kdawgs will be good enough to make it deep and face WEBB again, if healthy WEBB will be freakin loaded!!

Even Webb City shouldn't be on this list because mshsaa is promoting them and giving out wrong enrollment for Webb City. How does a team have 150 players go out but Rockhurst only have 102 Players. Olathe South in Kansas have the same number players as Webb but they're enrollment is bigger than 3/4 of our Class 6 teams.

Top 5 teams in Class 4 past 16 years
1. Webb City
2 Kearney
3 Ladue
4 Helias
5 Farmington

I smell stink bait!

I sometimes think about what will happen when Roderique retires from Webb or when Bailey retires from Lamar. Will those jobs the most highly sought after jobs in Missouri? Or will canidates not have the balls to apply because the level of success id almost impossible to duplicate . Imagine you take one of those jobs and you go 12-1 and lose in the quarterfinals. That's a great year by almost anyones standards but in those towns ...the fans would be pissed about it . I wouldn't want that challenge and headache. I think the same thing is happening to Grey. He's doing a great job but the bar is set at a unrealistic level. Just my opinion
If they promote from within, as they did with the D-coordinator, they could keep the system rolling. I know their D has been questioned this year but in reality they are only giving up an avg of 11 pts a game...

I definitely get what you're saying, but I tend to disagree based on one premise.. I think the streak Lamar is on "ends" while Bailey is still at the helm. Not that they will be bad by any stretch, but I think they come back down to earth a little. When JRod hands over WC, it'll probably be after there 37th state championship, and they will still be in the big game damn near every year.

Lamar I think "falls" back to a pretty similar situation as Kearney. Still really good, quarters at least most years, always 7-3, 8-2, or better, but not on a string of championships like they currently are.
Kearney hasn't fallen back to quarters at least most years.................again two round of 32 outs in a row. Opening night when I was sooooo excited by what I saw in Harrisonville seems like eons ago and the Wildcats are game planning today while KTown is done.

Harrisonville, Belton and PC are all still playing. It just doesn't seem right.

IF Platte County beats Smithville this Friday this will be two years in a row Kearney has basically paved the yellow brick road to the State playoffs for the Pirates.............

Sorry (can all tell I am fired up this weekend?) I misread your statement. K has been very good in the District quarters the past two seasons.................:)

Kearney would roll anyone in that district... especially Lincoln and Van Horn..
I was being beyond facetious. Those games would be 50-zip at the half. I just hope like heck Smithville doesn't do what Lafayette did last year..............no show the week after playing Kearney. There is an outside possibility that happens (I would say about 10-15 percent as of today).

Cannot imagine any other scenario at WEBB. If JROD sticks it out another couple years I would imagine the Roderique name plate will stay on that head coaches door for a long time...
