Interesting...PC only has one game this year that they did not score 31 points or more..and it wasn't even the best team they played that held them so low. It was Harrisonville, who held them to 20. Held WC to 24 (even with four turnovers.)

Doesn't Harrisonville traditionally improve throughout the year. Maybe more than the regular high school program does. Seems to be the case. No one has said that the Harrisonville D is not good. I just think the Webb D is significantly better.

karnee, pratte cou, smithtown, st joe, wadda ya know? they all suck.

Platte will have to hit some vertical passes. The problem with that is can they protect long enough to get that pass off. If Platte County wins it has to be a high scoring game. They will probably have to score on every possession.

I see it playing out as a close game to start, possibly up until half or midway through the third. Webb will grind out long drives and score on most possessions, witch will shorten the game. Webb gets up by two touchdowns, and Platte will start taking chances, a turnover by Platte at that point will open the flood gates, if not the score will remain close.

This, exactly.

Fade passes to the 6'5 Randy Moss. Runs a 49 400m--last year.

Wrong again, Webbster. If you consider top 4 to be like a football semifinalist then Kearney has been a wrestling semifinalist 9 times in the past 10 seasons with 2 state titles.

Kearney wrestling
2017 3rd
2016 7th
2015 4th
2014 3rd
2013 State Champs
2012 State Champs
2011 3rd
2010 3rd
2009 3rd
2008 2nd

This sounds like every other Webb City game.....lol

I think that is a fair analysis. I watched Platte vs Staley and Hville. Two totally different game plans. They took very few chances against Hville.....simply because they didn't have to. They got in trouble in the 2nd half of the Staley game and started throwing up prayer after prayer.

I think not positive but believe WEBB had 356 yards of offense and Hville had 54. WEBB CITY ran 72 offensive plays, Hville 28.. Scores do matter but don't always tell the whole story..PC will have its hands full and I hope their QB can take all the shots he's going to get....

Score in this game didn't really tell the whole story - the second drive Webb had was 20+ plays and H'ville only had 2 plays in the first quarter. Webb dominated the game by simply playing smash-mouth football and running the ball at them and they couldn't stop it. And with those 2 passes by a wide receiver (which was also a qb in junior high) and a full back (who has signed to play outfield for MSSU) only gives PC another look that they have to be leery of and prepare for.

The first half was dead even...except for the good 4th down gimmick play and turnovers by Harrisonville.

Defintely NOT a good match up for P.C. I think Webb will get 8+ yards a carry. Grind down the clock, and make plays on the D line. PC is going to be in trouble.

They are not going to score 30 either. Will be lucky to get 14. WC might have the best defense in the state regardless of class this year.

Out of the top 15 teams in all classes in Missouri Webb has the 12th strongest/toughest schedule. Too difficult to make the call about top defenses when you aren't really playing the top teams on a regular basis, and seeing the wear and tear every week that happens in Class 6. Its a given that Blue Springs, Staley and Webb have better athletes. But not better coaches and discipline than Webb. Stamp it.
