I like Webb's chances even more with that cool brisk breeze from the north. I am glad we are a running team that hangs our hat on the defense. WC by 21-28.

Now are with talking about a regular size Roderique or a little mini-Roderique?

And.....you still should have chosen the mascot "Spiders" for Webb City. That would've been awesome. Then again, I'd kinda miss the crack chicken.
I wonder if the receivers will hear the footsteps from watching the film or will they need to experience it first to get shorter arms?

Just my opinions for what they are worth.

Webb City has the better defense. Especially on the defensive line and linebackers.

Webb City should be able to run the ball and control the game and clock against Platte County's defense.

The one area I could see Platte County having success is in the passing game with short to intermediate routes. I thought Harrisonville hit on a few of these that helped them move the ball. We just didn't do it nearly enough IMO. I don't know if Platte County has enough of a run game to keep the Webb City defense from pinning their ears back and putting too much pressure for routes to even developed.

If Platte County can score in the passing game quickly and consistently and their defense can get some stops it might pressure Webb City to change their offensive game plan. Kind of like Miami used to do with Nebraska back in the 1990s. Running teams don't play well from behind.

I don't see that happening though. I would say Webb City by around 3 scores in this one.

Kearney beat Platte County. Webb should do the same. PC downfall is always defense. Last year their offense was a like a video game with the D1 (Oklahoma) baseball player QB. This year, not so much. But they will come out with five wide...and that Randy Moss 6'5" stud has to be accounted for. If their passing game fails (this could be helped by strong winds, rain, or just bad weather) and this will be a turbo game for Webb.

Thanks for your opinion.

Pretty much dead on assessment. This PC team is not as good as last year's that put up 49-0 on state champ Harrisonville.

People keep talking about the Randy Moss, 6'5' receiver - yes he's good and has caught a lot of passes, but he's not their leading receiver. Some 5'8' kid is. What's up with that?

Pretty cocky for a team that only beat lackluster Harrisonville by 24 (relying on four turnovers.) Not a chance. If PC is hot...they will score at least 21--if not 28.
Wait Wait Wait

Didn't PC barely beat the same lackluster Harrisonville squad 20-12,,,an 8 point margin ?????

35-7 I was being kind

well, not a dog in this fight but JNreturn's belovad district 15/suburban blue is looking 'black and blue' at thispoint, with karnee a paper dog (lol!!!!), smithville gone gone gone and platte co huffing and puffing toe the line. as much as i dislike the webbies i hate the KC blowhards even more (karnee, etc.) so ill be rooting for the deadbirds with teeth this sat.

Webbies 28, PC 7

FYI - I'm a fan for hire Saturday for this game. Am thinking this will be a good Saturday afternoon option and may sit on the Platte side. It's fun to mingle and listen to both the complaints and compliments from sets of fans I've never been around. Not that I really sit there and cheer against the other team, although it's amazing what I'd do for a free dog and nachos.

Webb could lose, but I don't think they will. I DO KNOW PC won't score 30 on this defense.
I'll predict 35-14.
Best of luck to both teams.

I cannot hate anyone for whom I have basically zero regard.

(You forgot the moon phase)
Sorry about forgetting about the moon phase. You are right that it might effect the game with the changing tides. Best I can do is times at this point.

Have you considered what uniform combination each team is wearing? Sunlight refracted at certain wavelengths off of the dye used to color both pants and jerseys could have a negative effect on the opposition's retinas.

Raw, do you need to start coaching again? You obviously have way to much time on your hands.

Nah, too old and senile; in fact, I am retired from public education altogether beginning next Tuesday.

Old and senile come on Raw you are not much older than me. But congrats on the retirement! get board come on down to Monett I will take you down to Branson you can join all the other older retired people. LOL

Youre never too old or senile to coach. Heck, even Coach Nickerson has contemplated coming out of retirement! He almost join his sons coaching staff!

Webb by 17. -3 turnovers it moves to <7.

This is not a good match up for P.C. They do not stop the run well.
Not sure how good WC's DBs are..but they haven't seen a passing attack like this (lite version compared to last year's PC passing attack.) But give WC staff a week, and I'm sure they will figure it out.

CJ will never play Kearney because they would have to beat WC first and we all know that when the chips are on the line, the bullpuppies choke on their kibble. STAMP IT
