Totally disagree. I thought their D played alright to pretty darn good. We wore #1 down or Joplin themselves wore him out as their do everything guy, he was pretty impressive. Take away the block field goal returned for the TD and their D only gave up 30 something. Who doesn't give that up to WEBB? I think Joplin surprised us s little early and think cTOWN better study that game film. They will have their hands full.

Carthage will be a tough one for sure. fantastic job by wc,haven't been to one of their games since they played har ber,believe it was 2012. the level of execution is joy to watch. joplin had wc in 3rd and long many times and I'll be damned if they didnt convert almost all of them. with a back up QB through the air. left me smh the entire night. really really fun game even though my team lost. hats off to wc and good luck to them the rest of the year.

Anyone that can score 27 points against the cardinals deserves some respect. The score was almost exactly like I predicted and so was the game in general. Joplin hung tough but Webb City is still annoyingly good. Carthage will definitely have their hands full next week and Webb is looking more likely to be a typical impossible egg to crack.

Wasn't at the game but it sounded like a fantastic atmosphere and this may be great rivalry for years to come. Love having all these local teams playing each other. Way more fun to see CJ and Joplin on the schedule instead of Lafayette or Springfield Central.

I am pretty sure that the squib kick orchestrated by Coach Rod was not ignorant, but we do have to make a tackle. That was not even close to an onside kick. Probably would not have been a run back if it was an onside since you haven't seen the video or had time to ask Rod.

I thought Webb played about perfect. I was a little disappointed in the Joplin Def. I mean 500 yards of offense 400 of it rushing. Hope the kids shake it off or a very good Carthage team could make it 2 in a row. Joplin has a nice team and played hard I still believe they could possible make it to play Kirkwood in the semis but we will see.

The most points scored against us last year was 21. Yeah I think Joplin played well. Made a few mistakes here and there but played as good as anyone in conference will play us in my opinion.

I didnt see the webb Joplin game but if the Westmoreland kid was the return man, I wouldnt kick it to him either! A squib kick is a good choice in those situations. Kids still have to make a tackle though.

I haven't heard if Weston is out for the year. If someone has said I have missed it. If not what a match up that will/would of been. Weston and Westmoreland covering each other all night. Maybe the most surprising thing to me after two games is how there isn't more love shown for Weathers. The boys up North have a trophy for best area player wish we had one down here. For a sophmore this kid is a player just imagine what a healthy future holds for him..
