After reading all this past week from Jackson fans about their team, I still can't get over how ... mediocre ... that Jackson team was on the field today. Wow. Just... wow.
I like the instigation but from my perspective, Jackson was good, not mediocre and they deserve credit. Fact Is WC has a bit of a Bruce Banner in them and the losses and all the talk about their demise has made them angry. You won’t like them when they’re angry. After reading all this past week from Jackson fans about their team, I still can't get over how ... mediocre ... that Jackson team was on the field today. Wow. this webb team reminds me of the 1992 team that started 1-2 and then never looked back!I like the instigation but from my perspective, Jackson was good, not mediocre and they deserve credit. I read that same article and had the same thoughts as you. He also stated that both sides of the ball missed signs from the coaches in the first half that resulted in several missed opportunities. I’m not sure if he never gave Webb credit or the writer chose to omit the coach’s praise of Webb.based on the Jackson Head coaches recap of the game they let “it slip away”. and they “won the second half” giving WC zero credit for their effort! somebody should have also reminded the band director not to post the columbia travel schedule 2 weeks in advance until you are sure you are going! SEMOBALL.COM has the recap on the game!
Their coach has done it for about 25 years, I don't think he worries about spinning anything to the fan base. I only saw the highlights, but I would say they had a 5 hour ride, played in a tough environment, against a team with even more tradition than them, coached by one of Missouri's best HS coaches ever, and just plain got beat.Well, sour grapes. Jackson had a 5 hour trip back to the Missisiippi River and so what else is the coach gonna say? You got to spin the loss somehow to the Jackson fanbase who thought their Indians could compete with the Kansas City Chiefs this year.
Ill be curious to see how good Jackson is next year with the graduation of their QB. Clearly, Jackson's 3-year window was sparked by their QB's play. Without him, will Jackson be back?

He gave Webb lots of credit in the Ozark Sports Zone articles. Gave Webb props for controlling the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball and spoke very highly of J RodI read that same article and had the same thoughts as you. WHY WON'T MDC ADMIT THAT THERE'S MOUNTAIN LIONS IN THE STATE?!?!What you guys need isa class 2 private school in the county that siphons off your best talent into one all-star team.
@hsmaniac, you up for starting one? I’m thinking we call it “Bishop Short-Needle Pine of The Ozarks.”
Mascot will be: The Mountain Lions That Don’t Actually Exist.
They did many years ago,,,in fact had a picture of a big male mountain lion that they took on a Jan 1 canoe trip in Missouri Conservationst MagWHY WON'T MDC ADMIT THAT THERE'S MOUNTAIN LIONS IN THE STATE?!?!
That article said their kicker extended his state record point after streak…… but didn’t Webb block his first attempt???based on the Jackson Head coaches recap of the game they let “it slip away”. and they “won the second half” giving WC zero credit for their effort! somebody should have also reminded the band director not to post the columbia travel schedule 2 weeks in advance until you are sure you are going! Lies!!! All lies!! When will you wake up and see MDC is protecting Big Lion ?!??!MDC position is that there are, of course, mountain lions in Missouri. A breeding population is unconfirmed, however.
Most are considered to be transient at this time.
Roger ThatThat article said their kicker extended his state record point after streak…… but didn’t Webb block his first attempt???
He holds the record for most extra points kicked in his career breaking Joplin's kickers record from 2019, I think he ended up kicking 220.That article said their kicker extended his state record point after streak…… but didn’t Webb block his first attempt???
There's some, as I've sent you pictures of, right south of here lately. I'm bound to find them, and bears. The Great Mountain Lion Conspiracy!
I don’t know if it’s still floating around or not, but people used to believe the MDC introducing rattlesnakes to Missouri. Sometimes by launching wooden boxes full of them off a helicopter.
Mountain lion reports are usually proven to be something else.
There was a gent in St. Louis who SWORE there was a mountain lion in his backyard. After several frantic calls and visits from agents and wildlife biologists, nothing was seen.
The guy continued to call and report a mountain lion in his crowded, suburban neighborhood almost weekly for a long time. Efforts to validate his worries had to discontinue.
This guy eventually comes storming into an MDC office waving a VHS tape. He’s angrily demanding the department sees his “proof.”
Upon viewing the evidence, he’s shaking with obvious fear as he films. It looks like “The Blair Witch Project.” He zooms in and is narrating “I told you! I told you! And you wouldn’t believe me!”
And yet…it ain’t no mountain lion. It’s a yellow tabby house cat sitting by some shrubs. Best part was it was actually wearing a pink collar.
Point being: only confirmed reports are included in the data regarding mountain lions. There are certainly more than in the link I provided above and they’re elusive as ninjas.
Sorry for going wholly off topic. We need a Kansas City/political crap/doc guy/mountain lion forum.
I was born in Alaska, I've seen numerous elves!Mountain lions are make believe - like elves, gremlins, and Eskimos.

I’ll add to this as well, in Christian County while hiking the blue-yellow trail of Busick Saturday, the Ms. and I found what we thought was proof of the “big Kitty” but since we are not Conservative Agents…we just kept it moving. Our concern was not running into Bears…🤣There's some, as I've sent you pictures of, right south of here lately. I'm bound to find them, and bears.
