Kids on Defense giving it all they have to keep us in games with a chance to win. They have played well all year considering the position they have been in when they have had to go back on the field
That was a fun game to watch as a neutral party. Personally still believe Webb City should stick with Ensminger
That isn't new. Usually they argue over which good quarterback is better though. Now they can't decide which one is the least harm.
Honestly I don't know which QB is the least harm is accurate.
Our Offensive Line play has been terrible. Hard for anyone to make reads when the D Line is camped out in the backfield.
First time in many years we don't have a QB that had a lot of playing time the previouse year

Well.... the one you're reading, you don't block.. So you can't blame the O Line for a read key being unblocked.
Absolutily , but the other 3-4 defensive line guys need to have a helmet put on them
It does make that read much easier when the rest of the dline is pushed back two or three yards off the ball.
And I ain't no expert by any means but I think on punts and PAT's not supposed to let people thru unblocked

Lol... two and a half decades to build a dynasty and you guys have it torn down after 8 average weeks.
Yeah. This year has been a struggle at times but when you have a Freshman and Soph WR and a Soph RB out there making plays it isn't like the program is going away.
I just checked the stats on your website (Awesome work again BTW) and WC is a staggering -13 in turnover margin this year. Keeping that in mind it is amazing WC is 5-3. There are a number of other fumbles this year that the offense retained possession on but were still costly. WC goes as far this year as their ability to hang onto the ball allows them.
Turnover margin according to the archives: +2 last year, although turnovers were a problem at times. +17 in 2014 Enough said.
Yep,,,,if Webb was even in turnovers this year we are 8-0 right now. For many years we won just by taking care of the football and running it down people's throats
It is quite amazing that we have only lost 3 games. Those 3 games were competitive into the 4th quarter even with the turnovers. The season is not lost if we control the ball and field position.
Defense must be nails to still win games with that kind of turnover margin.
As I commented in another thread, WC is not having a bad season by normal standards. They have lost to the 3 top teams in the conference but have also steamrolled a few teams and won some close games. I have heard some people from Webb City comment how bad the team is this year, which I don't think is fair to the players. They aren't bad. They just aren't the best this particular year.
3 losses isn't bad unless you're in Webb. We could be playing week 15 or bounced in week 10. This team is as confused on who they are as anyone in the state.
Hate to be glass half empty but the Neosho game proved the ball handling problem will not be solved this season with this roster. The fact that the coaches called on a sophomore QB with soph and junior RB's, on SENIOR night with the game still in question, leads me to believe they recognize this too.

I think the coaches were trying to prove a point ; you don't hang on to the ball, then next man up. A lot of fumbles and the players got replaced . This team is pretty good, but not good enough to go negative 2+ in turnovers and win
