Last year I think everyone in NWMO knew this was THE year for SMITHVILLE and they got it done in beyond impressive fashion!

THIS year look for these two to experience THE year in 2022:

LIBERTY NORTH (Jones and Co have moved forward one round each year since 2019 and are they ever loaded for bear).
FORT OSAGE (Huge, somewhat unexpected semifinal run this year boy do they have a lot returning).

I don't do a lot of smaller school have hands full with KC metro but EAST BUCHANAN only has SIX SRs so they could easily be right back here next year!

Back to SMITHVILLE that super QB returns along with key contributors on offense but the defense pretty much all graduates. Nothing will change on Hwy 92, though. PLATTE COUNTY will be in the mix in 2022 as well bank on it!

BREAK TIME I AM WORN OUT....................

Smithville returns QB. Wondering what KEY contributors, you are referring to? Losing their by far, two best receivers, and their running back. The RBs that came in to replace him were good, but other than that they are losing most of their D and O lines as well, as well as Crim (their best D lineman) and Simoncic (great player on D.) The nature of HS football is to re-load, but they are losing multi-year first team all-conf and all state players.

They have a SOPH WR they were finding later in the season, too. The system is in place. The big key is whether someone at a larger school lures Ambroson away this offseason. IF that happens this will all change fast.
