anyone know why district info is not out? Pretty tardy to get this done w/ season coming up in 6 weeks??

Not really. They don't usually come out until September or October because they are based upon finalized enrollment numbers?

They also have to wait until all schools register for sports with MSHSAA. This gives them the exact number of schools playing a particular sport. The deadline isn't till mid June.

so were football districts finalized before everyone knew enrollment and the exact numbers playing a sport? figured the imagine prep fiasco would make it difficult to know exactly..

Enrollments were verified last spring. MSHSAA makes you commit to football for a 2 yr cycle in the winter before a new cycle. Used to be that way for the old playoff system. They followed that process even this year. While the new system for football didn't require the districts to be released so early. However because of the new system schools wanted the districts released. I could see later release date for football in the future.
