If "Lockwood w/Golden City" wins state, does Golden City get to hang a 2017 State Football Champions banner?
The boys are playing hard today. They could have folded down 21-7 but fortunate to get some big plays to get back in it. What a showing by the Lockwood faithful. Great environment. Cold though.
Wait this isn’t possible! Someone on here said because Lockwood lost to PC and sarcoxie it would be 42-0 after the 1st! I guess that’s why we play the game!

Had to go feed a bottle calf. The Tigers had their chances an a break here or there could have been a lot different. They lost, and I'm sure that won't be forgotten. Great job Tigers, and thanks for supporting my theory that Miller Bleach doesn't know jack squat.

One turnover all game that didn't result in a score. Lockwood had the better passing stats for the day I believe.
Yes Valle’s quarterback started today. I know with the wind factor Valle was taken out of their game that they usually play and kept it on the ground a lot more. That being said, Lockwood also has the wind to contend with. If more yards passing were gained by Lockwood it was because they were playing catch-up ball and passing a lot more. When you’re winning, you tend to keep the ball on the ground and run the clock. Two good ball teams that played a good game.
According to 95% of the SWMO posts, Valle played the worst team (TOWN-bleach, biach) in the state!!! Good luck (like you've ever needed it) Warriors!
Will have to wait for the final stats from the paper, but 1 source said that Lockwood was held to -31 yards in the 2nd half, while Valle gained 146 yards. Valle tailback Roth had 33 carries for 172 yards and Valle had 21 first downs to 2 for Lockwood. I don't recall a Valle pass in the fourth quarter. Roth took direct snaps for the most part. And yours truly was cold and damp. The Lockwood players in white were brown at games end.

Half time score was 27-21. Final 41-27! Pretty impressive by Valle for Lockwood to score a 2nd half touchdown and still hold them to -31 ;-)
Lockwood was in control of their breaks. If a critical play here or there would have worked for the Tigers, things could have been possibly different. In anyevent, no running clock and Congrats to the Seniors and team on a good season.
LW has nothing to hang their head about. Great effort today! Hung much tougher than I thought they might. Good season!
Congrats on a great season Lockwood. Played hard against a very good football team. It was a fun trip to experience for everyone. Proud of our boys and community no matter what people say.
I too am proud of the team. They got every ounce they had onto the field.

Not a Lockwood fan but they played great. They were in it for a great while. Not bad for a Team i Thought would be way down this year. Congrats Lockwood on a great season.
What ever happened to the Lockwood player who returned a fumble about 50 yards vs West Platte in 01, only to trip and fall over his own feet on the 10? If I remember right, it would have given them the lead, and it was in the 4th qtr. Against a WP team that should have smoked them.
