Different champ than what was projected last week I believe and I am not surprised. Class 6 has a bunch of one score games and many that could go either way. Can't wait to see how it plays out.

Park Hills got a special boot prepared for Blue Springs South.

They’re going to be spending all offseason trying to get that out of ole Coach Wilmes backside

This class has never looked so interesting with 16 alive: I took a peek at a couple of CBC games man oh man they better never play like they did first three qtrs. vs. Bryant AR!

I would watch that big Lee's Summit rivalry game as the Tigers led that one til late. The winner very likely hosting Nixa is one of THE must see games in this Metro all year.

Another interesting tidbit Rock Bridge and Park Hill staged a 3 OT thriller won by the Trojans way back to open the season and the Bruins haven't lost since and now get unbeaten Troy Buchanan with the winner likely getting DeSmet. If form holds and Park Hill does indeed host Blue Springs South watch that quarter, too.

Uh, no. Park Hill has played well as of late but barring any injury from BSS, Park Hill has zero chance of making that game close. I hope to eat my words as an Alumni of PH but BSS is Bigger, Faster, and Older.

🍿

My sources are saying this is going to be a route. Parkhill -6.5

I actually like PH's offense. Only team I saw really make plays vs. Kearney plus there were lots of drops in that one.

Blue Springs South could not hang with Kearney either at Summer Camp. I say Park Hill has a puncher's chance.

Park Hill has a top two oline in the state. That’s the key for me, that line is full of bullies. There is likely no defense remaining on their schedule who will be able to disrupt.

Summer Camps are not a true measure of a team almost every year. Sure, you can see skill, size, and etc but you're not seeing a seasoned offense, defenses that fit into new schemes, etc. BSS fits this exactly. Their Jamboree against Liberty and Smithville was awful but turn around and BSS basically Turbos Liberty in the regular season this year.

They only beat Liberty virtually through the air. Their run game was nothing special during that matchup.

True. Probably more so for the Class 6 schools with the turnover.

Their offense has improved so much through the air. QB is athletic, the running back is great in space. They have learned the Platte County method (spread out the offense to run the zone scheme). However, I think their speed or athleticism doesn't match BSS in a state quarterfinal game.

Lots of drops when you the QB is hurried, and your receivers are covered.
The ones I saw were well thrown and wide open. I haven't seen Kearney since a pretty vanilla Week 6 at GV but will regardless who they play and how one sided I may think the Quarterfinal is provided they take care of business (I'd rate about a 98 percent chance) this Friday night.

Their huge problem (figuratively and literally) is run D. It will either be a shootout or South will control the tempo and draw away.

First half - Park Hill 13/27 in the air for 132 yards (4 dropped with guys draped on the receiver and the QB under stress) They had 9 carries for 13 yards rushing.

Stickler for details a bit. 10 point game in the 4th when an onside kick is returned for a TD doesn’t register as “basically turbos” to me
