Again, I'm not interested in pretending all opinions are equally reasonable. "Trump did nothing wrong" is not reasonable if you believe in the rule of law. No president should be interfering in any way criminal investigations of his friends and close allies in a democracy. The US government has a long tradition of independence at the FBI for this very reason. The framework is designed to minimize the opportunities for such influence to occur.

It's only reasonable when it supports your views from the side of the aisle you are on. The dems are on the short end of the stick and they are fighting hard. But before the election how soon you forget about Bill's secret meeting with Loretta Lynch aboard her private jet, the only reason we knew about that is because reporters were tipped off. You know good and well Bill asked her to squash the investigation into her or do what she could to quiet it. Timing is everything. Within days of the tarmac meeting, James Comey went before the media and declared that Hillary Clinton would not be prosecuted, even though she clearly violated the law, as it was written.

Also Lynch told FBI Director James Comey to stop referring to the investigation as an “investigation.” She told him to publicly refer to it as a “matter.” This came while the Clinton campaign was also trying to convince voters that she was not under criminal investigation. The campaign referred to it as a “security review” or “inquiry.” It is easy to see how Lynch’s request was political. Also buried is and not really covered by all Liberal news outlets that a memo was uncovered, while investigating the hack of the Democratic Party’s emails, In this memo, a “Democratic operative” is reassuring recipients that Hillary Clinton will not be prosecuted because Obama’s Attorney General Loretta Lynch won’t let it “go that far.” How is that no different than what Trump was doing?

Say what you want Neutron neither party is all that trust worthy. You are no better than the Pubs when it comes to ignoring your own parties flaws. If Hillary had won the election the Pubs would be digging all this up and you would going it is a none starter, just as they are. Hell you ignore the real facts about the Dems that they while perfectly legal in your eyes rigged the primary in favor of one candidate over another, and don't even seem to be bothered by that. You are more bothered by the fact that the Russians exposed that fact.

"the other party is not trustworthy" is not an excuse for bad behavior by one's own side. It also pretends there is some equivalence between the two sides. There is no equivalence between Trump and recent Presidents of either party.

I said on many occasions that Hillary made a very bad decision with the emails and that Lynch's decision to meet Bill was wrong.

We don't know good and well that Bill said to do that because Bill Clinton is not enough of an idiot to go on national TV and say that he did so.

I think Comey did the right thing w/r/t to Hillary - he said her misdeeds were a violation of State Department rules, not the sort of thing that is commonly prosecuted as a crime. That's not saying she did something great. Just that she should be treated the way they treated other individuals when evaluating these cases.
