Who did they play? Was it 40 or 41? TV reported 40.

Can I ask why is Battle playing in a tournament with mostly 3A schools, isnt Battle 5A?

They also played in the Linn Tournament with Class 2 and 3 teams. They play several smaller schools for regular season games too.

Interestingly, I watched a girls game last night in which a sophomore starter was removed from the game after 3 quarters in a game that ended up being a 34-point spread. At the time she sat down with 40 points, she was 8 points shy of 1,000 for her career and about 6 points shy of the school scoring record. When that was pointed out to the coach, his response was that a game like that was not the time for setting or breaking records. I complimented that coach after the game for that decision. For sure there would have been several who would have liked to see her go back in to chase the record, but I was proud that our coach didn't buy into that thinking.
