These five title games seem too obvious

Given that I suspect ONE heavy favorite will fall..............which one do you all think has the best chance of being upset and why?

Fort Osage has been a surprise so far... They lost to Northtown, lost to Raytown...yet they roll through the playoffs and dominate the dominating Staley team? Their D line blew up Staley. Not that they will win, but I would say they have the best shot of the underdogs. But who knows? Maybe they don't show up at all?

This is true. If you're riding the momentum train it could derail at any time.

Fort had significant injuries on the defensive front and I think they have returned from the DL?

I saw them play with what I assumed were JV players or kids forced to play both sides. After seeing them perform against the typical teams I thought they were awful and questioned WTF has happened to high school football in class 5..( because Fort was ranked high, and lost late to LSW) They still have some midgets I underestimated...Man, they got better.

Either way, heck of a coaching job and a great program.

There's much job satisfaction for coaches and unique player reward when you take kids like they have and make a run. Just outstanding!

I still have the opinion that KC Football is trending down, I hope next year proves me wrong. Numbers would help. Among many other things, you need numbers to service yourself in preparation.

Hard to tell if it is trending down relative to everyone else in the state, because others are having major troubles with numbers coming out from Soph to 8th grade (big drops.)

But overall, KC was strong this year: 4 teams in the top 10 in Class 5 versus last year: only three. And Class 6 with 6 of the top 10 from KC (which is almost every year.) Joplin wouldn't have made it past the first round in District 4.

Agree with JN. The worst class 6 school in kc, bss, went across the state and knocked off the top St. Louis area seed.

Yeah...............and that CBC bunch sucked.

St. Louis has two teams in the top 10 in Class 6, and seven of the top 20.
Besides CBC and Desmet, what did St. Louis have in Class 6? And Desmet only had a couple good wins... Pattonville and Rock Bridge?

After that:

#11 Kirkwood.
#12 Pattonville
#13 Eureka
#17 Howell
#18 Marquette

Versus:

Kansas City: 6 teams in the top ten. 10 teams in the top 20... Including Blue Springs South at #19...mentioned above.

Blue Springs South could beat the top St. Louis area seed (not CBC of course)
BUT Lost to:

Rockhurst (Kansas City, MO) (35-0),
Lee's Summit North (Lee's Summit, MO) (19-2),
Lee's Summit West (Lee's Summit, MO) (41-13),
Blue Springs (MO) (31-21)
Blue Springs (MO) (38-14),
Park Hill (Kansas City, MO) (35-0),
Raymore-Peculiar (Peculiar, MO) (35-34),
Raytown (MO) (41-34)

Your honor, I rest my case.

I ignore Judas N. My comment was not based on comparing KC teams with St. Louis. He's an idiot.

I know what I'm looking at, I'm not sure how to articulate it.

It looks crappy. I'm comparing my observation with nearly 60 years in the game.
