Takeaways from week 2 in districts

Ladue isn’t repeating. Class 6 and 2 are the only classes with a chance in STL. Which is pretty pathetic with all the picking and choosing of “transfers”. There’s a STL post board. Go check it out. (Hint) Bye.

Until Trinity loses you cant count them out of Class 3. Even though 4 of their best players no longer on team they still have alot of talent with right coach could be dangerous.

Yeah, hadn't thought about that, guess I better bundle up!
Early NWS forecast (er, guess) for 7 p.m. Friday in Maryville is dry and 36, with a wind chill of 31. Most of us on this board have been to games in colder weather than that.

That wind at Liberty North last Friday night sure got my attention. Still not nearly as cold as Helias Catholic at Kearney November 2014, Smith-Cotton at Kearney November 2008 OR the coldest modern era game I attended Kearney at LS West November 2013.

Of all the dumb things on this board, this is by far the dumbest this year.

Where I’m I wrong? Like where? What team belongs in the obvious running? Ladue isn’t doing it. Class one? Nope. Class 2? Possibly. Class 3? Nope. Class 4? Ladue isn’t doing it. Class 5 nope. You get it. Or you don’t. Obviously.

There’s 2-3 teams as TEAMS that are far better TEAMS. But yes anything can happen

discounting another persons opinion and telling them to go to a different site is moronic, all because they disagree with you, grow up.

zumwalt N is gonna be a tough out and so is Eureka.
Ladue will be a tough out in class 4,
class 3 no idea, same with class 1.

LN and DeSmet should win their classes

What happened to 4 starters???

It’s done all over this site. So cry me a river. You’re the one who commented towards me about having a problem with it. So who’s really having a problem. You..... the answer is you.

You do realize at the end of your babbling you mentioned two classes. Two. What I mentioned. Class 2 and Class 6. Good lord. Literally the same two.

So you agree. But because you also want to disagree, so you mentioned a bunch of shoulda coulda woulda type situations in other classes. Yawn.

Class 5 has No. 1 undefeated Fort Zumwalt North and then Eureka. Chaminade is a player too, but just lost their best athlete to a season-ending injury. I'm assuming you think Eureka and FZN recruit too??? FZN has several weapons in their senior-laden running offense. Eureka, albeit could be much better than they currently are, still haven't lost since week one to Fort Zumwalt West on a last second touchdown... Yeah the posting over there on STL Today has been lacking for a long time, which is why I'm over here sometimes. I won't leave anytime soon, buddy.

I'm not saying Ladue will repeat but it's hilarious to me how so many people underate them on here to the point of thinking they aren't even contenders. Same thing I see right now that I saw last year and the year before. I get there's a lot of negativity for St. Louis, but Ladue is 49-6 and have been semifinals or better since 2016. The one guy from Kearney knows what I'm talking about. Same with some Webb City people.

I think ladue toughness opponent the next 2 weeks would be Hannibal if Hannibal wins Friday. Hannibal has been on rolled since week 5 and they're looking really good. Hannibal almost beat Battle couple weeks ago and Hannibal could of won except for mishandles and mistakes. Hannibal defense is looking really good the past 4 weeks. Hannibal has a great coach in Quentin Hamner and he's known for his absolutely great defenses.

Ladue ain't as good as last year, but they still have the tools to repeat and should keep on rolling until they face Webb or Camdenton in the semifinals. 18 penalties committed on Friday but still won 38-0 over a physical Westminster team.
I definitely agree there. I've seen some hudl highlights of Hannibal during their winning streak and like their offensive scheme. I can see them troubling Ladue, but the Rams have proven to consistently heavily limit most every Class 4 opponent's offense since 2016. The Pirates will have to find a way to stop McIntosh and his speedy receivers.

Both teams just better not overlook their district championship opponents.

There is no reasoning with some of them. They live in the glory days of when the west was dominate and have failed to comprehend that it ended 5 years ago. Yes they are a small group but they are load. One could compare them to Nebraska fans.

What happened to 4 starters???

Before school started 2 players left school.
One player Trinity would not allow player to graduate at Semester to play spring ball at IL The other player not sure maybe tuition.

Two others shortly after coach was fired.
One was kicked out of school for Discipline issues involving other students inside the school the other I'm not sure why he left.

You do realize I mentioned 4 classes? I said Zumwalt N and Eureka are what I think, tough teams to beat, as well as Ladue, I also stated LN and DeSmet should win. That’s 4 classes. Slow down and read. You can keep quoting me and troll, but at least do it intelligently.

Windsor vs Seneca 1986 playoffs. Coldest game in the history of the world.
Early November 1986 is still on many great plains record books. That was the only game (Kearney vs. O'Hara at Center, the Dogs first ever playoff appearance) I literally had to watch from my running car. If I recall correctly it was 5 above with a wind chill of 15-20 below............BRRRRRRR.

What level? Two state championships in the past 9 years. The last five years, all top 5 teams.
And how does that preclude them having a good backup ready to play??

Your starter may go down the first snap of the season and be gone for the year. I would think most good large class programs would have another guy taking a lot of snaps with the #1’s from day one

That is correct!! Coldest game I have every seen! Heaters on the sidelines, still did not matter!! Dogs went to locker room at half time. O'Hara stayed out in the cold. O'Hara won the game because of that decision..
