STL Football ...

I wanna say I read trinity has 5-6 D-1 guys. Could you imagine if Roderique or Bailey coached those guys ? Class two or not ; they would be hard to beat by anyone

I love being a homer but i think at this point trinity has to be the class 2 favorite. Lamar will still be good but not having all the secondary experience this year could hurt us going against their speed on the outside

Were they there last year when Lamar kicked the crap out of them,,,or did the buy another half dozen???

14 with D1 offers?... Dont know if the numbers are accurate or not, and really don't care... if they are its a great example of why people have a problem with schools like that... No way a Class 2 school that would draw from a regular community could have that kind of talent.

Trinity has 14 players who hold a D1 offer.

All that talent and they still could not beat a public school who a few years ago the town lost one of it's biggest employers, is losing enrollment and has other struggles.

Just goes to show talent alone does not win ball games, it takes the heart of a champion and a true Team effort!!

I think the secret to last years game and will be again if they play each other will be keeping pressure on that QB and keeping him contained at the same time. Lamar did a great job of that last year and the D front should be as good or better this year. If you give him time to plant and get the ball deep down field he can burn any team all day.

IMO this year's Trinity game could be a doozy. Last year I felt like Lamar was always in control, even when they made a little run at the end. Some of that breakaway speed we had is now gone, so I think it is going to be Lamar's schemes, preparation, and execution that are going to have to keep Trinity in check.

Hard work beats talent when Talent doesn't work hard!!

It's real nice of some of you guys to supply such great bulletin board material for them. I'm sure Coach really appreciates it.

I'm not sure you understood my point.

I absolutely understand ,,,Ten years ago JRod would chastise the dickens out of people on here for running their mouths and not representing Webb City Football like it should be.

That's why I run my mouth about Lamar now :)

My point was about other posters calling out Trinity regarding Talent/Hard work and Character. I'm not intending to bash those posters, just reminding them that they are providing incentive for the other team.

Sorry, I wasn't calling out Trinity necessarily. I use that quote a lot to show kids that talent isn't everything. You have to put in the hard work as well.

Which teams should be pretty decent to watch this year?
Ladue Horton Watkins opens in a big one at Ft. Zumwalt North. Both will be highly regarded in the STL metro. That would be my Week 1 choice were I over that way.
