Unofficially, 713-326 overall at the high school and college levels (Pauls Valley, Bartlesville, Stillwater, Glendale, & Drury)

Biggest win during Steve Hesser's five years at Glendale...January 4th, 2002! Glendale 66 - #2 in Missouri Class 4A Kickapoo 63! Maybe the biggest upset victory in program history! Falcons were down 31-19 at half, but pulled off a second-half comeback!

Trevyor Fisher would have been my choice had he not quit coaching. Would have been a great fit there IMO.
 
Fisher went through my head as well, but probably a couple years too late. Thought maybe Ja Havens, Brandon Kimbrough, or Sam Mcmahon might be on the short list. Maybe an assistant from NW MO St.? Really have no clue, just tossing out names that come to my head.
 
Sweet hire! Chris is a great dude. Was a player in the MAAA at AV when I first started coaching. Loved watching him play. An absolute stud. Hope he does well.

Chris's Dad, Danny, is still to this day one of the best shooters I've ever seen. If I had to pick someone to shoot to save my life it would have been Big Dan.

I've heard that from a bunch of the guys a generation prior to me. He was late 70s, right? Played at Middle Tennessee or somewhere like that???

I want to say he graduated from Ellington in 76. He played at Three Rivers with Otto Porter and then went to SEMO. If memory serves me right he didn't get along well there and went home part way through his Jr year and never played again. Someone may be able to help me on that.

He became a legend on the town team circuit in the area. Big shots would put together a team of college ringers in the summer and Big Dan and his guys would send them home. If he would have been as athletic as Chris he might have made a living at it. As far as just shooting it I'd put him up against anyone, anywhere and like my chances.
 
In Coach Hesser's speech, he mentions that another coach took the Glendale job, then "gave it back'...I'd LOVE to know who that was.

You are correct. He could shoot as well as anyone.

There was a discussion about him a few years ago on semoball. One guy said he watched Danny make 29 in a row from out of bounds on the baseline. He didn't miss the 30th. He just decided to go home because he had just played a game and was tired.......

If there had been a 3 point line in his day his scoring record at 3R would have been unbreakable! I would think he'll be the next basketball guy to go into the 3R HOF! His number is still the only one retired for men's basketball at 3R.
 
I don't think people give him credit for his athletic abilty. He would show up in bib overalls these town tournaments. Take the off and start dunking behind his head, bounce it to himself. Then step out and knock it down from 30 feet. The guy was unreal. I always heard he got invites to NBA camps but never went. Legend!

Lol. Kinda sounds like Tim West. Newcomer of the year in the Big 8 at Nebraska as a junior to farming as senior.

I used to be able to shoot like that. I dreamed about it during basketball season from 4th grade to senior in high school. I couldn't help it that my coach failed to see my potential and restricted my shooting to free throw line extended and preferably paint.

Guys could go a lot of ways or in a different order than I might think after Foster. On the women's side the next one should be Missy Whitney and after that it gets pretty tough to decide who comes next. Care to share your next 5?
