Yes the trial is in the Senate but they don’t have to call any witnesses. The trial is based off what was brought to them in the House. And sure they can call more witnesses. Schiff didn’t want to do his job in the House, so why do it for him in the Senate? He kept saying they proved their case and that the evidence was overwhelming. Why the need for more witnesses??
