Great night for mosports. Will the crybabies 'threaten' to never post again this year?

Florida wasn't crap without Grier and anyone that knows football will tell you that.

FSU is relegated to beating a bad UF team for its' superbowl . Grats.

Well they did win your crap conference division, didn't they?

Final four teams all recruit well? Are you drunk?
The last team to win a National Championship without having at least 2 top 10 rated recruiting classes in the previous 4 years....Oklahoma in 2000.

You can land top recruiting classes and not compete for a title.
You can have lower rated classes and win pretty consistantly.
If you want to actually win the NC you need to have a top recruits AND get them to perform.

I don't want to sound mean, but .....No duuuuuhhhhhhh. However, that doesn't mean the star ratings are always valid.
Five stars bomb and 2 or 3 stars end up being Dangeruss Wilson and JJ Watt.

Actually there is one Well Known Member on here that seems to think that star ratings are totally irrelevant. I don't know that I would go Texas fan from a few years back and start celebrating recruiting national championships but there are some players that pretty much everyone wants and they are more likely to go somewhere like say Florida State.

BTW Houston was brought up. They are in on 2 HS AA's so they are starting to put together a formidable program.

I think the major flaw with the star lovers is thinking stars=quality program.

STARS are not a perfect indicator of talent.
Anyone that watched Hayti's William Moore play in the 2002 class 1 state title game and knew a lick about football knew he was better than a 2 star. He went on to be an All American and NFL starter.
Britt. Morse. Nfl players that were rated as 3 stars.
Who does these ratings? What is their background (besides tricking people into buying subscriptions?

They're in on 2 HS AA's? Woooo. Did those kids dress out when HOUSTON beat Star-laden FSU?
Houston isn't playing under Yeoman anymore. Bunch of 2 and 3 stars thumped might FSU. Is Jimbo just a bad coach? His resume might suggest that the last 2 years.

The last two years???

Well you talk about all this NFL talent being drafted and they got destroyed by a meh Oregon and then this year they lost to HOUSTON. Non-power 5 HOUSTON.

Underachieve more?

Am I lying about the NFL talent?

You never answered, would Mizzou beat Houston or FSU?

Did I miss something or did Houston make the NCAA playoff? Florida St just won a NC a couple years ago. Sure a team of 4-5 stars can lose a game to 2-3 star players. Teams with 2-3 star players don't win it all.

Clemson had the #4 rated recruiting class last year
#13 in 2014
#14 in 2013
#14 in 2012

That's actually fairly low compared to all the other recent champs.

Bama
#2 last year
#1 in 2014
# 1 in 2013
#1 in 2012

Teams can overachieve but the champs all land top classes.

Missouri for example will never come closer than they did in 2014 without a total collapse of the east division which is going to improve and without landing at least some 4-5 start level talent players.

2013, you mean, right?

Mizzou was a quarter away from getting into the playoff that year. That's a pretty thin line that I wouldn't say Mizzou can't get over.

And would have got smoked.

Mizzou's Dline would've showed jameis what that gal felt like.
If Mizzou had a month to prep for Auburn's offense they would have slowed themdown too.

l-o-l

How many yards did MU give up?

FSU had one of the best Olines if not the best line that year. How many guys from that line saw playing time in the NFL already?

You live in a mythical world, that is for sure.
