Spring Footbal in Missouri

No, people get hyped about football here. I talked to a college football coach who has recruited all around, he said our set up is pretty good here. Most schools are doing something like spring ball just not in pads.

I'm sure many schools in Missouri that have spring conditioning slip in some actual football practices kinda like "open gym" in basketball. Heck while I was at a middle school football game a few weeks back I watched a local high school baseball team basically having practice on the school's neighboring field.

Ampipe does have a band, and youre right about that. No one leaves Ampipe on a band scholarship. Heck, I didnt even know those were a thing!

Missouri is the only SEC state that doesn’t have Spring Football. I’ve heard plenty of excuses from MSHSAA officials about why that is, but I’m curious to hear what folks here have to say about it. Missouri wants to think of itself as having strong prep football, but prohibiting Spring practices doesn’t really promote it.

Opinions?
Not needed. Missouri kids already compete on national stage. Strength and Conditioning is year round. Go getters go out as it is. Programs that beg for numbers won't be helped. I'm not seeing the upside. If you want to exploit coaches and pay them more, that's an option.
