Loved seeing the talent on display this weekend. That Lamar vs BO game was one I will remember for a while. And while I like seeing the All-Star teams out there, they really do need a division of their own. We have classes so that we can have a level playing field.( at least in theory) Not fair for little school to try to compete with a big school. Its becoming more and more obvious that despite the attempts with the multiplier, what we have with some of these Privates vs Public is not a level playing field. Yes, not all private schools are the same, but a few set the tone for all. I know the public-private debate has happened time and time again. And, it will continue unless something is done.

Some great fan bases.
1. The Lamar vs Blair Oaks fans were great.
2. Reeds Spring looks like they brought all of Stone and half of Taney County
3. Those Class 1 fans always show.

It was cold but its football. I am fine with that. I know its a great experience for the kids to play in the BIG STADIUM, but wouldnt mind them moving the game to a smaller college or something so that it doesnt look empty. I know other states do that.

We have good smaller college stadiums geographically distributed throughout this state so wholeheartedly agree. I don't care for these being at Mizzou at all.

I agree 100%. I did not go the year they were at Missouri St, but how was the experience there? Didn't know if you attended them or not.

I completely agree that smaller venues would be better. I don't know what the kids who play the game think but as a fan I have never liked anything about the huge mostly empty venues other than the climate control of the dome.

I heard from a lot of people who went to the games at MSU and they all said it was a fantastic venue for the event. There are a lot of D2 colleges with decent stadiums that would work well. Central MO, SEMO, MSSU, NW MO, I'm sure there are others those are just ones I've been to. I think SEMO is actually D1. The geography isn't central at many of them but you just rotate.

Ideally I'd also like all semi final (maybe even quarters) at a neutral site but that will never happen. Kind of like what they do (or used to do?) in basketball. I can remember watching Webb City basketball in sectional rounds or something playing at MSSU, and MSU in some years.

The Dome had atmosphere, too, for the obvious indoor enclosed reason.

In Class 1 the semi final home teams are 16-4 the past ten years. I could not imagine any College not wanting to host a quarter or semi final game. Having two playoff teams, bands, fans, and parents on campus. That's a great way to show off your campus to prospective students.

I'd like to see the games moved to a smaller stadium. I think the new women's soccer stadium in kc could be interesting but it will likely be natural grass which would be tough to withstand 7 games. Whatever they do, I'd like them to at least not split past 2 locations.

Nothing is better than the environment at the Blair Oaks vs Bowling Green game. Fans are at standing room only all around the field and 2 great teams battling. Need that environment at the championships.

I have always been a fan of the quarterfinal and semifinal games being at home site venues. And I do like the championships all at one location, to give fans the ability to see all. The dome was my favorite site, for fan comfort, as well as amenities for the teams. Had years of fun and memories of state title weekends in that venue. Among the outdoor venues, I like Faurot Field for locker rooms, press box, parking, etc., but Plaster Stadium for fan experience. I've been at Faurot too many times when the entire public area looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the last Mizzou game. I would use the word dumpy, but that would likely incite Mizzou loyalists. And I think the view from the stands is better at Plaster.

Enjoyed the game at Bowling Green. But I'm not going to stand to watch 5 games over 2 days. And watching all 5 games over state championship weekend is what people should be able to do. People that go watch a state title game should have the option to sit and watch the game. And not go to the bathroom in an ORI. Nor listen to the local homer PA announcer do his Chris Berman impression.

Good Points. Many of us seem to agree on the Public/Private thing
Did not get to see the Lamar-BO game but heard the crowd was amazing
Yes, the RS crowd was amazing. Not the ending wanted, but great year
Really like your stadium idea.

I'm a true son but your points are spot on and can't be denied.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them moved to the new Soccer stadium in St. Louis.
