I warned in Pick Em this could happen. Never know what will happen in rivalry games plus coaching staffs use these early games to learn what they have and how to best utilize their players ergo why there are so many "surprises". Class 6 is wide open as can be in the KC Metro.
I do have one huge request for Rockhurst, though: B-E-A-T BISHOP MIEGE! I know a number of Stags fans/alums etc. this must happen!

I’ve watched Rockhurst for the last 27 years. The most they improve is week 1 to 2. And it’s not close.
Miege has to be a 10 point favorite. Not knowing Rockhurst’s talent, I would have to say Miege is superior man to man. This isn’t the 2000/2002/2007 type squad.....there aren’t 10 D-1 guys (that I know of).

When they lose in the quarterfinals again...i wont be eating anything. Just like a Webbtroll...team losing like the did 2015-2016..it is tumbleweeds. Team wins unexexpectedly, it becomes the gloating board.
Having broadcasted that game, Liberty just flat out played Park Hill. Park Hill has serious issues on offense.

Park Hill has offensive problems, much bigger than I thought coming into season. Another one of those head scratchers early in 2018............
One among many. OP v. Raytown a shocker. Raytown beating BSS was a shocker . Harrisonville falling so far down is also. Rockhurst beating B.S .

There are other very significant ones. Overall in NWMO Class 2 is shaping up to be about as good as it gets once they face one another. Lawson beating Higginsville was surprising enough but by THIRTY FIVE???!!! Was also very proud of Richmond bouncing back in SE Kansas after getting pummeled by MV-Liberty to open 2018.
In Class 1 how about Penney struggling past Gallatin? Perhaps Gallatin is now the GRC favorite plus those who did not agree with me picking the Hornets in the KCI and beyond could be right.

Week 3 peek: Staley hosts Lee's Summit. Platte County visit Kearney and Smithville hosts their fellow Suburban Small Seven newcomer Grain Valley. Another one that could be more interesting than some think involves your Indians as they visit Belton who pushed LS last Friday.
Not knowing how good Grain Valley is makes things interesting.
I’d probably switch LS with Rock. I’d have K in eighth considering they are 14-1 v PC.
And considering it has been almost a dozen years since Tony &Rock have won a title,I stand by what I said before and say the game has passed him by.

Nope, Rockhurst improved tremendously in one week. That's good coaching. He just shut out Blue Springs. KD would disagree and so do I. It's more like TS holds back, let's thing happen, because he's seen it all and losing games, coaching up mistakes is more interesting and challenging than worrying about being perfect in the first game. You don't last as long as he has by trying too hard.
