Then the Fulton County DA at the time Rashard Brooks was shot made the absurd accusation that he did not pose an immediate threat of death or injury to the officer. Though one of the officers was burned and suffered a concussion.
When in fact the tape shows Brooks firing a stolen taser at a cop before being shot. Two weeks prior in another case, the DA called a taser a deadly weapon under Georgia law.
But now, it's not a deadly weapon when it's being pointed at cop by a suspect.
Apart from being charged with murder, the cop is being charged with assault because he used another deadly weapon, in this case, the deadly instrument is officer's shoe since he kicked the suspect while he was down.
But a taser is not dangerous.
