I'll say congratulations to the Blues on here. I am not a hockey guy, I only checked the score once in a while through the Stanley Cup Finals, and watched the last few minutes tonight, but when you win a championship, especially when your team has never done it before you deserve big shout out!

I saw a 19 year old girl on channel 4 talk about "how long I have waited for this". Bahahaha. Congrats to St. Louis. Any time you beat Boston for a championship and humble those people its a great day.

LGB BABY!!! I'm a mess at summer school today. 7:15 start time has been rough a couple of days this week. But well worth it. WOW WOW WOW! Just nuts. Just an unreal season...My own story on this. I love me some Blues. Coaching hoops for the past 18 yrs, I rarely watch until March rolls around. First time in 18 yrs I haven't coached, so I literally watched all year. Not a bad year to get to see it from start to finish. From the just absolute frustrations early in the year, then firing Yeo, bringing up Binnington, and hiring Berube...and then just watching the run. Nutso. So freaking fun.

And now, when I get home from a quick weekend trip (flying to Raleigh and back in one day...fun, huh???) I'm going to spend $40 to watch this crap show of a baseball team. Maybe they can get it figured out too.

I've been a Blues fan for as long as I can remember. I had about accepted the fact that it was never going to happen. This year started out bad and there was little hope. It was an amazing turnaround. Basically a coaching change and a goalie change turned them from worst to first. I still can't believe it. The parade is at noon Sat. I'll probably go up just to witness the whole thing. Hopefully its not the last time but you never know.

Let us know how it is if you go! The videos from Enterprise and Bush were so cool last night. Loved how MLB network kept cutting away to Bush and the crowd. Think about that for a minute. 25K fans in Bush, partially during a rain storm, to watch on the two OF scoreboards. And another 18K fans packed into the Enterprise Center. Over 40K fans downtown watching the Blues play in Boston for the Cup. Nutso.

I am sure it was fun and I am not trying to be an ass, but the Blues and Cardinals hosting around 40,000 people for game 7 cost small business owners (bars and restaurants) a fortune in lost revenue last night

That’s not even counting those in Ballpark Village.

You really think those places were empty? If you're a regular at the corner bar, you were still on your post. I'd say the chains suffered, but it's not like Bobbys or Fields or OBs were suffering.

And let the market dictate the flow. Nothing wrong with that. There was obviously a demand, or the tickets wouldn't have sold as fast as they did.

I'd say the local joints were still full of regulars. Most of the folks who bought a ticket to watch likely wouldn't have went down there just to crowd into a bar.

And who is Duck trying to kid........

I went to 2 games during the playoffs and the beggers or homeless people standing out side did well.I got hit up several times and gladly gave each a buck, even gave one guy a 5 spot so he could get something to eat.I even did my best to support the local bars.Had a great time and spent a ton of money but now I think about it,it was well worth it.

There are two sides to every coin in when significant events like this happen.

Darned if you do...darned if you don't.

I've been waiting to see my Blues win the Cup ever since I was a 5 or 6 year old kid in 1975-76 which is when I first began to watch and understand hockey in StL. I attended the Gm 6 watch party on Market and went to the parade the following Saturday. What an unbelievable, surreal scene. Just like I envisioned it happening all these years. I'm till on cloud 9.

StL is, once again, a championship city!

StL Hawks, StL Cardinals, StL Rams and now the StL Blues gives my home town a championship in all four major sports. And, StL will more than likely be awarded an MLS franchise in 2020 or 2021. So, that will be on the table too!
