I wish Mshsaa would explain why teams that are located very close to each other are put on opposite sides of the bracket. I can think of only one reason

These are soooooo hard to predict. Only ones I feel fairly certain about are Lutheran St. Charles, St. Mary's, Hannibal and CBC (hoping I am wrong about the last one).

It’s because everyone kept demanding that they shuffle the deck every year.

Lamar is a pretty good bet lol I mean, can’t overlook Richmond. I just believe more in Lamar’s experience and stifling defense then Richmond.

Disagree. Everyone is underestimating Pius. NOW if they play St. Mary's cannot like the Warriors in that one. As stated before St. Mary's likely is at least as good as St. James Academy who is about to win the KS 4A title.

Recruiting been very very good at Pius X

Who is your doctor Joey? I need some of those meds you are on.
He lost me after the first prediction. St Mary’s may lose. (Wishful thinking) but not real likely.

And Lamar has messed around with two teams higher ranked then Richmond and still almost turbo clocked both.

The only teams I’m even slightly worried about are Lafayette County/LSC. Some of it with LC is the mixed offense. Run and pass, and LSC has huge lineman on both sides. I don’t think any team that’s as one dimensional as Richmond will beat Lamar.

He’s the channel they run through. And I haven’t watched a team since 2010 even the down years of 2018-2019 where they didn’t play well outside of districts where have lost to a team with one guy facilitating the loss. What I’m meaning is would they win without him? No. To me, if the QB is the main force behind running and passing success (like the Ravens with Jackson) it’s not truly a multidimensional offense. He’s the dude.

Like I said, anyone CAN win, but I don’t see it. They always stop a dude or two, the teams that have beaten them, it’s took a team beating them. No offense, but this isn’t a down Maryville. Lamar would’ve hung 50+ as well on them.

Ive seen film, the kid if he grows and develops and gets seen by the right scouts could be a project D1 QB in the future. It’s no knock on him.

Not into debating who will win (intersectional games are near impossible to truly figure) but EVERYONE should appreciate what a special talent this kid is!
The kid is impressive, but if there’s a team in class 2 that’s not private that isn’t down by and means that has a assignment of stopping one kid from doing normal damage by games end? I trust Lamar can do it. That’s my main point. If they don’t? They will have to score tic for tat. And that’s a scary thought to have for a tiger fan haha.

Can I get a scouting report on Hannibal at North County? Thinking about going and know very little about either other than it appears NC is a big underdog. Any big name recruits to keep an eye on??

Hoping to see a good game. Lots of blowouts this year.

22 on Hannibal is a problem. Already has an offer from Oregon. He’s a sophmore, he won the game for Hannibal vs west plains

Lafayette County is impressive offensively. I haven’t watched Lutheran St. Charles except on Hudl and their qb has plenty of time to throw. This could be a shootout as both teams put a lot of pts on the board. Wish I wasn’t so damn tight or I would watch it on MSHSAA.

I’m hoping LC can wear out those lineman. There’s a lot of mental and physical advantage to this game that LC can capitalize on if they are capable. I’m thinking after watching a very average LFL team give them a game LC definitely can, physically and mentally wear LSC out.

What was it that they did to Pleasant Hill? Are you just talking the score or something(s) in particular that will make them successful against Ritter?
Not something in particular they just played extremely well and really handed it to a good team. Looked like a complete team playing well together not sure Ritter can do that.

Ritter lost to BG. It’s amazing they are still playing in class 3. Maybe class 3 is down this year.

I watched Pius take on St. James Academy who will win KS Class 4A after thrashing perennial winner Bishop Miege. Even in a blowout loss you could see this is a very well coached, organized, talented squad. I, too, expect Pius to roll to the final.

Lathrop wasn’t one player bud. It was a a team effort with multiple boys. I’d also argue that’s the second worst Lamar team since 2009. But Lathrop was more then a player. Nobody was beating the soon to be champion that year anyways. Both of these teams were average at the end of the day that year.

They were still doing the spin offense which they scrapped with the slowest boys they have ever had outside of one kid. It was a really bad year. Lol

You gotta watch out for the one player freaks. Ask Webb people about that St. Louis team they played...and lost to in the finals.

Lamar has encountered ever year a “one player freak “ or a team that has “someone going D1”
It will take a team to beat them. Not one player.
That’s my point. Thanks sir. Can’t tell ya how many people have said that about every STL team we’ve played since 2010. One has prevailed, the others? No so much, a lot of D1 guys are projects, it’s the freaky speed or vertical, and what can translate to the next level, it’s not really meaning much NOW alot of times.
