If we could get a list similar to how we do for coaches every year of schools opting for the spring I think we could get this district figured out

Gateway STEM
Hazelwood Central
Hazelwood East
Hazelwood West
McCluer
McCluer North
Miller Career Academy
Pattonville
Ritenour
Riverview Gardens
Roosevelt
Soldan
University City
Vashon

Are those the only schools opting for spring at this time???

If those are the only ones then 2 of the biggest class 5 schools will jump up and only a couple of class 4 schools will jump to class 5

Affton, lift for life, Bayless, Brentwood

STl area should be responsible and all opt for it. STL is a viral infection of a city in Mo. I bet unless if teams hide virus players or play people with it every team will have cases.

st.Louis health dept. is not allowing games yet and if the numbers don't get better and they can't play then you are talking CBC, Desmet, Lutheran North, Trinty, Cardinal Ritter, John Burroughs, Priory, Principia, Mehlville, Lutheran South, MICDS, Vianney, Chamnide, Lindbergh, Oakville, Summit, Seckman, Eureka, Webster Groves, Ladue, There are more I am sure

How does the Health Dept have the authority to stop anyone from doing anything??

Sam Paige sets the rules for restaurants, bars youth sports, and other things. They have different levels and they have to get to level 4 before games are allowed. They are at level 2 and are allowed to practice in groups of 20 with one coach. They think they can play on Oct. 1st but that is just a guess. No games are allowed in any sport right now. Sam Page is the elected official who oversees St. Louis County and the city. Just like the governor closed Missouri for a while. So if the numbers go down the teams will get 5 games before the playoffs start, if numbers are bad then they won't play.

But where does he ( or any other county health bureaucrat)get the legislative authority to tell me I can’t open my business.

Most powers given by law are for emergency orders only and must end after 30 days

It's always been like that - even prior to the pandemic. Businesses can be shut down if they are a threat to public health. For example, if a restaurant fails its health inspection, it can be closed by order of the health department. This is nothing new.

Treadmill, you're posts really seem to hit people with the logic train! Keep it up and you'll find some cold beers waiting for you here in Ampipe!

None of the schools mentioned after the first reply in this thread have officially opted out as of right now. Many are hoping to play starting the first weekend in October (very easy to schedule conference only games) then move into districts, etc.

Yes sir you got it, heard today if flu is bad there is a chance hospitals will be overrun with patients. Lets pray that doesn't happen.

Despite your obvious issues, you are such a nice man.
Deep down Bosko really is a good guy. Drives players to school, makes sure students get to class, buys em beer, and gives high fives! And we cant forget that he set Stef on the straight and narrow when he needed it the most!

Without the StL teams we won't be able to hand out the Cheatos Bowl Trophy this year.

23 teams opted to play spring ball. I think someone had heard that and posted on another thread somewhere.
