If he had actually swung at one of the two strikes instead of the pitch out of the strike zone I bet his exit velocity and launch angle would have been pheeeeeeeee-nominal.

To quote Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor:
"WE BAD!". Batting averages don't mean anything......riiiiiiiight.

4 G Garcia .250
5 S Piscotty .250
6 A Wainwright .250
7 J Gyorko .240
8 Y Molina .219
9 M Carpenter .212
10 M Adams .211
11 R Grichuk .200
12 M Leake .200
13 K Wong .148
14 E Fryer .143
15 D Fowler .136
16 J Peralta .120
Adams just swung at a ball that bounced in dropping his Average below .210 and one RBI, but his bat plays and he is left handed so it plays over Martinez.. This sh!t is getting old in a hurry.:confused::confused::confused::mad::(:(:( Somebody needs to tell Carp to use his glove when fielding ground balls as opposed to the bare hand.
Not sure if this is correct, but it is close. Every time the Birds have given Waino a lead he has given it up the very next inning. UHHHHHGGGGG

29th in fielding. 29th in hitting. 27th in bullpen ERA. Matheny is awesome.

Worst start since 1988.

Where is the Matheny defender at these days? Seems to not be much of a baseball fan.

I saw an interview with an MLB writer yesterday that said but the Yankees have beaten the 'lowly' Rays and Cards...that is what we are now

I think Mo is at fault just as much as MM
They got to Milwaukee this weekend. I hear the Dodgers are interested in Braun, could the Cards have any interest there for #4 hitter? Mo said he doesn't see any Cardinal farm hands as possible help for them now and he might be looking for help outside the organization.

I don't want the cheater... bring up some young guys we can get excited about...bring up some young arms and see what happens.
They brought in Peralta and Braun is a better hitter now than Peralta for sure. He's even improved his defense quite a bit over the years. Not likely they'll be willing to give whatever they would need to in a trade to get him.

Restock the bullpen with young live arms, get peralta out of there. Bring up Pham and sit Adams except for pinch hitting. Put grichuk on notice as well. Keep playing Jose Martinez.

Stop it. Dude can absolutely rake. If he's available for the right price, he's a no-doubter acquisition. But doubtful they'd do anything inside the division. Pretty rare...Bird fans that talk like this about any player, and revere what McGwire and The Mang did, make zero sense to me.

Says the Kentucky fan.... I just don't like Braun...

I don't talk ish on other programs skating rules. Is what it is. Cal gets players, and wins. It's major athletics.

One thing to not like the dude. Another to not want him, when there's an obvious need. I effing HATED Will Clark before he became a Bird. Then loved him. Braun doesn't move the needle one way or the other like Clark did though. I get that.

Lol. I think everyone in Cardinal nation would agree with that one. Sheesh...How bad has that guy been? Brutal.
Yes. We are just an aged and depleted team..bring on the youngbloods!! Find someone who can field a ground ball and run the bases too. It's really embarrassing...and I can't track it, but has Mozeliak had any really good moves for us since his tenure? Or did he just ride the coat tails of his predecessor and the framework they had in place?

I don't think we are the model of success anymore.
