surprised Bouchard didn't throw his hat in, would have been perfect
Makes zero sense financially. He's retired. Working in IL (or KS when he was briefly at SM), he could double-dip. MICDS is in MO, but not part of PSRS. So he can work there and not have to worry about implications to his PSRS benefits.

C'mon, you're smarter than that
I'm really not. You're giving me far too much credit...But if you're talking about JRod...Seriously? He's not going anywhere. They already hired an AD. So it's just football and teaching. And while RayPec is a GREAT gig, I'd think. It's not like it's LSW or BS or Staley.

A little further north of JRod.... But I disagree with the LSW comparison, I think Ray pec is a better spot than there but I could see an argument for the other 2.

This is correct, and I'm sure he'd appreciate it if the KC rumor mill would stop invoking his name in vain every time a big job comes open.

Bailey? What are your thoughts on RayPec being a better spot than LSW?

Why do you think so? I'd choose LSW over RP, maybe they've fallen some since the coaching change (moving up a class didn't help), but they've been better than Ray-Pec consistently.
District has gotten some bad press lately with the last two supts and their exits and the whole equity thing, but I agree...on the whole, LSW seems to be the better gig currently. I would assume future too. Have two kids in the district (one will be at LSW next year), and I can tell you the equity battle certainly doesn't get to the classroom level. Overall just seems like a great place and we couldn't be happier with the education and services our kids get. There is a new MS on the no tax increase that would open in the 22-23 year. Natural assumption is there will be a fourth HS to follow soon after. That has been the district blue print and the area is certainly growing still. That could factor in thinking that RayPec could be a better job, just that the new HS would pull from the LSW talent pool.

In my opinion as a coach it would come down to the fact of do you want to work in a district that has one high school (and will remain that way through the next decade based on my research) or a school district that's going to go through a large amount of change.

Just curious... That fourth HS has been rumored for quite some time now. Is there a desire on the part of the powers that be down there to get one or more FB programs back to class 5 ? Obviously, the competetive level of class 5 in the KC area has really dried up. Staley pretty well owns it. Only Fort Osage has been competitive in addition to Staley in recent years.

I view growth as a good thing. But I see your point. There would be some change for sure.
