Just curious... That fourth HS has been rumored for quite some time now. Is there a desire on the part of the powers that be down there to get one or more FB programs back to class 5 ? Obviously, the competetive level of class 5 in the KC area has really dried up. Staley pretty well owns it. Only Fort Osage has been competitive in addition to Staley in recent years.
I don't think that has anything to do with it. It's just growth of an area. Where we live, there are about 500-600 new home sites in a three year period. We live about one block (country block) west of LSW. About half of those sites are within a half mile of our subdivision.

So are you saying that the new HS would probably open as a class 6 school in FB ?

I'd say that's doubtful, just because they normally open with less than four grades. I'm not sure what current growth projections are either. My point was, I can't imagine having a C5 football school is even on the radar of the decision-makers in regards to a fourth HS in the district. Overcrowding and a growing community probably heads that list.

Ray Pec is about to shock a lot of people. talked with a state champion coach in the metro area that said the talent coming through there is the best ever. Starting in the middle schools and the young fresh and soph. Right now Ray Pec would be a better job

The current soph and 8th grade classes for LSW are absolutely loaded as well. I'm not sure either group lost an A or B game at SLMS. The class in between isn't very good though, so there's definitely a gap. SLMS didn't play either Ray Pec school either year, not that you'd get much from those results. Obviously RPHS teams will show better than their MS teams, just given the fact they all come together for HS.
