Class 6 Ray-Pec has some very, very good athletes just not sure they have enough to hang in for four quarters this Saturday. Were that in STL wouldn't even blink but hosting may help them get out of the gate fast.

Class 4 Platte County seemed to find itself if just a bit down the stretch (think the blowout 40-point loss at the aforementioned Ray-Pec dinged them a bit). In my opinion anything they do this year is a bonus. Alongside Harrisonville the Pirates will be very, very potent in 2020. Interestingly they had to rally from 17 down after 3 to beat Grain Valley 18-17 back in Week 4 so they are anything but a lock to advance Friday night.

Class 2 Lathrop hosting Summit Christian Academy will be very interesting as well. Again how they come out after shocking Maryville last Friday will be paramount as I think this is SCA's peak year.

Class 3 Odessa may have its hands full, too. As posted in prior weeks when it became apparent this was going to be the quarter hosting Savannah that could be a 30-40 something a side shootout.

That was a heck of a movie. I was driving that bus down the street and they were blasting away and shot all my tires out but I never stopped till I got to city hall .

I can not speak for Lincon's schedule. But to be up 35-0 in the first half over Skyline (i was not at the game) - they must be pretty dang good.

Watched some of the game online. I was very skeptical of Lincoln. Skyline plays solid schedule, can score in bunches, so impressed with lincoln after friday. Can they beat Thayer or vallee, we may get to see.
