One of the few really good punches in the history of MLB fights. He needs to keep his left hand up.
Impressive chin huh! He barely staggered. Wonder which hurts worse today, his ribs, his head, or Odor's right hand.
It's always funny to check out the video of a brawl and see what everyone is doing. I like the 1B coach in this one. He takes off towards the melee to help his guy and then seems to think "oh crap, now what am I going to do". Then just wonders around aimlessly trying to look helpful but doing his best to avoid contact with anyone. Lol.

That is exactly what I told one of our kids this spring when he complained about a kid hitting a gap shot off him and celebrating at 2nd base like it was the only hit he ever had in his life.
"If you don't like that you should make better pitches".

Don't get me wrong. I'm not one of these guys that likes kids over celebrating every single thing they do. I prefer players to act like they have done it before. Walter Peyton was classy when he scored a TD. Just give the ball to the ref.

Given the circumstances of Batista's homerun, was that really an over the top celebration/bat flip? Why are baseball players so thin skinned and sensitive?

I didn't think it was any worse than pitcher celebrating after he fans him with the bases loaded. You see that all the time.
Like I said.....if you don't like seeing that, make better pitches.

Out theory always has been that it is hard for the other team to celebrate if you are beating them. Guess what....it works well.
