CLASS 1
Duchesne
East Buchanan
Marionville
Monroe City
Most Interesting Game: EB/Gallatin
Did You Know: That East Buchanan High School is in western Clinton County?

CLASS 2
Blair Oaks
Lafayette County
Seneca
Lamar
Most Interesting Game: LC/BG
Did You Know: That Lafayette County was the largest hemp growing county in Missouri until the Civil War?

CLASS 3
Cardinal Ritter
Maryville
St.Charles West
Reed's Spring
Most Interesting Game: Maryville/Pleasant Hill
Did You Know: That, prior to coming to St.Louis in 1941, Cardinal Joseph Ritter issued a declaration ending all racial segregation in the Diocese of Indianapolis? And that, upon his appointment to the Archdiocese of St.Louis, he ended racial segregation in all 5 high schools of the diocese? (His decisions were, not surprisingly, fought by a group called the Catholic Parents Association of St.Louis and St.Louis County, to no avail. Racism in the name of God has always been the most popular type of racism.)

CLASS 4
St. Mary's
Smithville
St.Dominic
West Plains
Most Interesting Game: Smithville/Center
Did You Know: That an explosion at the West Plains Dance Hall in April 1928 killed 37 people, and that the cause, though heavily speculated upon, was never determined by authorities?

CLASS 5
MICDS
Ft.Osage
Francis Howell
Carthage
Most Interesting Game: None
Did You Know: That Fort Osage was established by the U.S. Government in 1808, as one of three forts to establish control over the land and inhabitants of the Louisiana Purchase territory? (The others were Fort Madison, in Southeast Iowa, and Fort Bellefontane, near St.Louis)

I learned in recent years that German POWs were brought to Fort Osage area to do "hard labor" and some stayed after WWII ended.

I don't know about MC over Lincoln. I know the panthers have been favorites all year but Cardinals are starting to look peppery down the road
