For large schools, guessing 1 through 4 will be East St Louis, DeSmet, Edwardsville, & CBC……Wild they left Kirkwood off the list imo

Only reason I can think why STL Today would rank Hillsboro, Seckman, Summit, and St. Dominic is because of their records from last year. Summit lost a lot of senior impact players as did Hillsboro and St. Dominic. Seckman's got some pieces back, but you can't take them seriously with the schedules they've played the last handful of seasons despite all of the wins they've racked up. Leaving Kirkwood and Eureka off the list is truly baffling.

They have a huuuuge offensive line led by Jack Lange (Mizzou) and another kid going to Missouri State. Really good run game and can play solid defense. I think they beat Francis Howell on Thursday.
As of now planning to watch that one! Several good openers over that way this year!

private schools have zero advantages.

For those of you, like me, who follow other states the NATIONAL spotlight comes to East Saint Louis this Saturday at 7 PM as perennial Chicago stalwart Loyola Academy comes calling.

This should be on NFHS I will source if available anywhere else................

That'll be a fun one. I got Loyola winning. Back-to-back Class 8 championships says a lot.

I think their impressive win over Francis Howell sent a strong message.
