ste' gen's toughest game that year was against a class 1 team.NONE... I believe that was the same year that Bolivar got hot at the end of the year and marched to the title game before losing to Ste Genevieve

Things have changed a lot, it's hard to imagine those 4 teams all in the same classification now.It was 1992 I think that Branson, Nixa, Cassville, and Aurora were in a 4 team District. All in the top 10 at one time and ended in a 3 way tie. Two 9-1 teams didnt make the playoffs.
Right. So the winner of that 'killer district' lost in the quarterfinals, to a team that lost in the finals. So the fact that they all had shiny regular season records was inconsequential once the playoffs started and they had to leave their little area. None of them were anywhere near the best team in the state. Sounds like the playoff system did its job yet again!NONE... Never said otherwise. But, Have a good day.Right. So the winner of that 'killer district' lost in the quarterfinals, to a team that lost in the finals. "We're #5! We're #5! We're #5!"
This is high school, not the pros. I would much rather see a system that rewards #5 with say a quarterfinal/semi final appearance, than them lose in the early rounds to team #1 or like some have suggested, have them miss the post season entirely. A system like that would still accomplish the goal of crowning the “best team”.Right. So the winner of that 'killer district' lost in the quarterfinals, to a team that lost in the finals. The letterman's jacket patch industry would love that. This is high school, not the pros. the playoff system is broke. It needs a fixing and the first thing is all teams dont make the playoffs. It is.... Don't know why people are so against teams deciding it on the field in actual competition. They want to seed, weed and orchestrate it per their biased views. Everybody in Everyone plays Everyone has a chance to win and advance. Such A radical concept we must eliminate it at all cost.
Someone thinks Districts is the playoffs lolthe playoff system is broke. It needs a fixing and the first thing is all teams dont make the playoffs.
Does anyone really consider the 1st round of Districts as the playoffs? I understand that's what it's called, but I think most can agree it's really the district championship and beyond. As the district championship would've been the old sectional game.the playoff system is broke. It needs a fixing and the first thing is all teams dont make the playoffs.
Top 32 is better than Top 4 in district. That way you don’t have issues where a team is left out because they were in a tough district. Albany would be left out in this scenario and they are 8-1 with only loss to #1 North Andrew. Its simple...use the same system. Score it. If you get top 4 in a district you are in. Eliminate this week of football. Sorry #5s...make an easier schedule. Play better. Whatever. Go down the list, and you will see that out of all the teams, there probably would not be more than 4 with a winning record NOT making it in.
I don't know looking at his top 32 in class for doesn't have Monett listed? They soundly beat LogRog 35-22 first round and they also beat Mac County 18-0 regular season who are listed above them based on points not heads up. Both teams had better records but But heads up Monett beat both of them.Top 32 is better than Top 4 in district.
