Plaster Stadium

I have been a regular attendee at the state championships over the last decade plus and this was a very different atmosphere. I loved going to the dome every year, as it has been a family tradition that started with my dad and now I continue it with my boys. The atmosphere at Plaster was much better than in the dome. The smaller venue created a louder experience and made it much more exciting. The fact that the games were all competitive, minus the class 1 game, made it even better. Although, I missed the tradition and warmth of the dome, I really enjoyed the games being at Plaster!

I went to the Class 5 championship at Plaster and the 8-man and Class 6 championships at Faurot Field and thought that the atmosphere was comparable at each place. Concessions were an issue at both however. Not enough stands open. Other than that though, it was great.

Sounds like stadium was a great experience. Location is the only negative I see by not being more in central of state for us way up north.

I also think MU too big for the championships.

What about CMSU in Warrensburg? Been awhile since i been there. not sure on capacity, quality of facilities though.

Missouri State has the better setup on seating compared to UCM. And I don't see the parking being any better at UCM, either.

UCM would be a really nice venue for the games, but like others have said, seating would be an issue. Also, hotels in the Burg are slim pickins! Its a wonderful stadium though and Pine street is within walking distance. So one can either drown their sorrows after a loss or celebrate a victory!

I thought it was the best venue for the state championships. Very loud and fans were close to the field. What an awesome atmosphere. I think mizzou will be too big and the fans too far away.

I watched Bolivar play the championship game in 93 at Mizzou. It was definitely far away. Not an intimate atmosphere at all.
