The problem is the private school people have votes and money to influence legislatures and public school boards and public school admins. So the schools collectively decide to vote against separating private from public. The public schools vote against the interest of their own students. Same ole story.
In your opinion, it is against the interest of their own students. In my opinion, it is in the best interest of their students, as it makes the state playoff system legit, with legitimate, undisputed champions. I also do not believe that there is a vast conspiracy to influence school administrations or boards about this issue. Most of the decision makers obviously do not think a change is necessary. Hard to believe that they disagree with you, I know.

So states that have separate classes for Public and Private school are not legit? I would say they may actually be more so....
Using your logic, why even separate by size, we could just have one champ. I can see it now, CBC vs Marionville.

I could be wrong, but I believe it has been close to 10 years since there last was a vote on splitting them or not. I bet it would be a different percentage now.

Pretty interesting class 3-5, for quarterfinals there is one STL suburban public school still alive (Parkway C). Pretty telling when there is no other Rockwood, Parkway, Hazelwood schools still alive. Class 6 you had Marquette in the quarters, and they were running clocked. Pretty telling when there is no other Rockwood, Parkway, Hazelwood, Mehlville schools still alive. Almost seems like they have players being plucked from their boundaries and going to privates.

FWIW, I have no ill will against families being given an opportunity to have a private school education. Just put them in their own classification.

If they were separate, every state champion would have an asterisk beside it, and people saying yeah, but such and such private school would beat them. Not interested in that. If I'm going to win a state title, I want it to be THE state title. Not the *Public State Title.
Your explanation of what my logic is is irrelevant. Has jack shit to do with the topic. I'll worry about what my logic is. You keep worrying about excuse making.

Florida is split up by Urban, suburban and rural divisions based on population density.
I guess they ain’t legit either. I looked at their state champs list. I saw no asterisks.

Nobody is willingly moving to Lamar lol . Unless they work at McDonalds in Jasper and would rather work at McDonalds in Lamar I say that in jest but the two decent major employers in Lamar shut down years ago ..There is no real jobs there outside of the service industry and farming
Jasper has a McDonalds? When did that happen?
