These power rankings are relative Class size. There is no doubt Lamar is more dominate in class 2 than CJ is in class 4. If this were an open ranking I would put CJ in the top 5 and Lamar somewhere in the bottom 5, the class 1 schools would be out of top 10.

If those rankings are relative to Class size then Monett is a big omission. Monett is going to be much more of a contender in Class 3 then West Plains will be in Class 4 or Kickapoo in Class 6.

Ozone power rankings are a complete waste of time as is most of the garbage they put out.

Monett lost 9 starters on offense and half their defense and you're saying they're going to be more of a contender at Class 3 than West Plains and Kickapoo will in their classes?? LOL

Monett has had a good tradition going lately and Kickapoo has a tough draw being class 6, so I can kind of understand that but..... haha

Yes. I am saying that. I, m sure not taking them against Lamar or CJ but Monett is the likely favorite to win their district. If you think West Plains or Kickapoo are likely favorites to win their district I have a bridge I would like to sell you.

I highly doubt Kickapoo or West Plains even makes it to their district title game.

In West Plains District you have Webb City & CJ, you said it yourself earlier CJ returns almost everybody and well Webb is Webb so West Plains chances of making it to the championship of that district probable not very good. CJ handled them last year until the end when they scored some meaningless TD's. I mean unless the are the two seed and CJ and Webb have to face each other then yes they probable could make it.

Looking at the Poo's District I highly doubt they are the 4th best team in that district they will not have played anybody until game 10 when they actually have to play a legit class 6 school. They lost to West plains who lost to CJ, I highly doubt they are a top 10 class 4 school with class 6 enrollment. So yeah they have a tuff draw being in class 6, but that doesn't change the reason why the Ozone should rank them. They are supposed to be contenders and legit for their class for this area.

Now all that being said I highly doubt Monett should be favored in their district, And I don't think they should be ranked they have done nothing to prove that. And they lost a lot of talent and are breaking in a new coach. But I think they have just as equal of a chance or better of making it out as district champs as the Poo or West Plains. So if that is how the zone is supposed to be ranking them based on power then Frog might have a point.

I will admit that Kickapoo has got a lot of work to do to even contend in their district...

And as we've pretty much already established, the Webb, CJ, WP district is probably the toughest district in the state due to the fact that their will be 3 state ranked teams in it....

But on the fact that West Plains will not probably not make the championship game..., I am biased, I will admit that, but CJ lost their biggest playmaker on offense and arguably their biggest threat on defense. WP is coming back with the most experienced offense in the district period, but did lose their two best defensive players. It's a long way to go until districts, but I would not be surprised at all to see West Plains beat Carl Junction when they come to town this time around. And yes, West Plains will get the two seed again this year. The advantage of playing up and winning while playing almost every week, if not every week.

I'm excited. Can't wait til districts. I respect CJ 100% they have a great program over there, but they're going to have to work a lot harder in districts to get that match up with Webb than they have the past few years.

Hey Chaotic, Monett is looking just as strong at this point in the season as they did last year all while replacing 9 starters on offense and the head coach DC.

You're right. Though I wouldn't be bragging about turbo-ing East Newton, Mt Vernon and Seneca. And losing to Lamar which everyone expected anyway.

I haven't heard one Monett person brag about those things. You are inserting words into peoples mouthes. I think all that was being said was that not having Monett in a quote / unquote POWER POLL, is a little off base. You can't have a "POWERPOLL" for teams of different classes and just include a team because the are 4-0 at this point in the season. Yes WP plays a tough district, but what about the BIG 8, Monett plays a tough schedule week-in and week-out. But if you want to pay attention to the "PowerPolls" by all mean you go for it!

I was referring to what was just said in the previous post. Never said anyone from Monett was bragging. And as for west plains, this thread hasn't been about them for a month now so why redirect? And west plains has been in every poll all year long as I'm sure Monett has for the most part.
