Thats just insane. Love em or hate em. But that’s damned impressive.as they are looking down the barrel of the first losing record in 40 years.
But it’s gonna be a fun ride watching it happen. Woof!

They were right but for the wrong reason. Things usually went Webb’s way, particularly in the second half, because they were better conditioned and Roderique and staff made adjustments better than anyone in the game. Now Webb has neither of those things. But blaming 30+ years of dominance on the refs is ridiculous.Carthage people were correct. It’s a real thing.
Easy bucko. Nobody “blamed” 30 yrs of dominance on the refs. They were right but for the wrong reason. If I had to predict, I’d say that is the direction this is heading.Jeff Cityish
Wouldn’t bet on it,,,Webb has classes coming up filled with AthletesIf I had to predict, I’d say that is the direction this is heading.
How good are their 7th and 8th grade teams? JV and Freshman?Wouldn’t bet on it,,,Webb has classes coming up filled with Athletes
Haven’t seen junior high they just getting started. JV won the game I saw and watched 9th beat Nixa two weeks ago .How good are their 7th and 8th grade teams? JV and Freshman?
I hear the webb 3rd graders are ready to beat the Chiefs.Haven’t seen junior high they just getting started. JV won the game I saw and watched 9th beat Nixa two weeks ago .
I know that’s what a lot of people want to see but I think that’s unlikely. Will Webb football be what it was in the 2000-2010s almost no chance of that. Even with roderique I don’t think that would be the case. Not unless they can convince a few hundred kids who don’t play football to leave the school so they can drop a classification. If I had to predict, I’d say that is the direction this is heading.
It’s been said many times before (probably even in this thread), but even JRod went 5-5 his second season.I know that’s what a lot of people want to see but I think that’s unlikely. Two bad losses while abnormally short handed isn’t the end of everything. Now if losing these games becomes a trend we’re seeing when the field is covered with skilled experienced athletes that’s a different matter but it’s not where we’re at today.
Today they are just struggling and everyone is enjoying seeing Webb city be legit bad at football for the first time any of us can remember.
Come on back to class 4 it is tough there too.I know that’s what a lot of people want to see but I think that’s unlikely. Will Webb football be what it was in the 2000-2010s almost no chance of that. I’ve attended all of the class 1 thru 6 championships for some time. I think 2006 with a few scattered in before. There have been several where I thought the C4 champ was better than the C5 champ. That includes a couple Kearney teams!!Come on back to class 4 it is tough there too.
What's it take to make it happen ill root for Kearney in that one lolI’ve attended all of the class 1 thru 6 championships for some time. I think 2006 with a few scattered in before. It appears this year’s Bulldog team would be competitive with any C5 team as well. I know Ritter is loaded, but I’d travel and pay to see a matchup between them and Kearney, and be rooting’ for the dogs all the way!!
Kearney stands a real good chance, barring a rash of injuries, to play the C4 version Lutheran North in the semifinals. It would very likely be over in STL.............I’ve attended all of the class 1 thru 6 championships for some time. I think 2006 with a few scattered in before. This is definitely a sign of the times. Kearney fans hijacking a Webb thread!Kearney stands a real good chance, barring a rash of injuries, to play the C4 version Lutheran North in the semifinals. It would very likely be over in STL.............

Only if Smitty came back also, when Mike left ship started listingQuestion for a WC guy, close to the program. Hypothetical scenario. Let’s say WC only wins 7 or fewer games next year, does Coach Rod come out of retirement to right his ship? A’ La Bill Snyder?
Does he bring back his old OL coach?Question for a WC guy, close to the program. Hypothetical scenario. Let’s say WC only wins 7 or fewer games next year, does Coach Rod come out of retirement to right his ship? A’ La Bill Snyder?
Ya know, it’s funny. That is a familiar story. While still good, Camdenton lost their dominance about the time Pappy Pirch retired. It’s probably not that cut and dried, but that’s probably the single largest factor.Does he bring back his old OL coach?
Soph class better be REALLY good if they want to win as sophs. That’s tough sledding.Next year Webb will have their QB and a really good sophomore class. The coach will be judged on that.
You just lost to Poo and ozark in back to back weeks.Next year Webb will have their QB and a really good sophomore class. The coach will be judged on that.
I remember when webbies used to say they pulled 5'9 145lbers outta the halls and coached them up and that's how they won.Soph class better be REALLY good if they want to win as sophs. That’s tough sledding.
Talent normally wins out in sub varsity level football.I remember last year the WC JV and freshman teams only had average records. I was told that it didn't matter. Those teams still had a lot of talent.
That seems really unlikely. Only way I could see that is hypothetically there is a resignation and since he’s still a school employee he jumps in on an interim basis until a new one is identified and brought on board. I could see a second search taking longer because they may open it up to a John Perry type. Problem is an “outsider” is likely to have his own system he wants and that kind of disrupts the whole Webb city has one system thing. Maybe they could find someone with a proven track record coaching that type of offense it’s just might be hard to find the right candidate. There are risks no matter which way they would go.Question for a WC guy, close to the program. Hypothetical scenario. webb is behind Ruskin (!) in district standings. That seems really unlikely. This whole hypothetical is really premature though. Excuse or not they are really thin on talent under a second year coach. Let’s see what happens next year and the year after before we declare Webb to be on life support.
I don’t know specially but there was an abnormal amount of faculty that left that year and he was one of them. I think there weee some personality differences with admin. Why did Kurt Thompson leave Webb? I can't remember
If I recall, he took an assistant job with a Kansas JUCO, but was back to high school at Kickapoo fairly quick. Why did Kurt Thompson leave Webb? I can't remember
I thought JRod left Pitt and came to Webb and Thompson left Webb and took a job on Pitts staff? If I recall, he took an assistant job with a Kansas JUCO, but was back to high school at Kickapoo fairly quick.
Pretty muchI thought JRod left Pitt and came to Webb and Thompson left Webb and took a job on Pitts staff?
