exactly. Just like the Dems invented “superdelegates” So the people couldn’t pick the nominee.
Hard to do when people like you think it's great that a person can be elected to the highest office in the land with 3 million less votes than his opponent, or even just a few votes more in the state of Florida like Bush! The guy in Kentucky won't concede and the count was about 5000 votes difference. If Kentucky elections were done the same way as our presidential elections he would have probably won with a lot of 'electoral votes' because he carried more counties.

It’s actually a great system. It ensures that two small areas of the United States don’t control the leadership of our republic.
That's exactly what it does in essence, though. There's only 5-6 states that matter.
Geographical Areas don’t vote. People vote.

Wrong, it’s we the people of the State of Missouri. In our system you vote for the candidate in our state only. The popular vote nationwide means nothing and never has.
We are a representative republic of independent states. Good , bad, right or wrong that’s the facts.

The Founders created a system that was silly. It should be changed to move towards direct democracy, just like we did when we expanded the voting pool to all adults and when we required states to start voting on Senators instead of having legislators appoint them.
The envisioned a world without political parties and set up a system for that world.
Won’t ever happen , no way enough small states would vote to basically give up their power in our country.

Yea if it was up to me I have. 4x4 Company truck and would have drove. Flying American out of Joplin hard to avoid ORD it’s the kiss of death in the winter but not usually this early in the year. Plane that went off of the runway yesterday morning really screwed things up
The popular vote in each state decides who gets the EC votes from that state. The problem is you get ALL or notihing and that just ain't right. You should get the EC votes at the same percentage of the popular vote, not ALL of them no matter how much, or how little you win by.
Or he has a difference of opinion on what constitutes a "serious flaw".
If we're going to just switch to direct democracy, I guess we don't need representatives anymore?
Trouble is I don’t accept your opinion that there are serious flaws with our system. In fact it works exceptionally well.
