There old baseball field was in Oklahoma. A couple of years back they built a new baseball field and track that is away from the school and is in Missouri.
I also enjoyed this thread. I'm old but still remember when Lamar was a homecoming game for most big 8 schools. No more. Also Webb and Carthage were just another game. Seneca was our first game of the season, and a non conference game until joining the Big 8. They ran a single wing in those days and have been consistently tough thu the years. How many times has Lamar been state champs but couldn't win the Big 8 ? Their program reminds me of Smith Center, Kansas program. If your not familiar with that story it's a good read. As far as hauling hay, I used a pitchfork to get it on the flat wagon and into the hay loft. By the time I was in HS, small bales were the thing so got to experience that fun. Keep up with the stories of the 'old days'
