You have a lot of opinions on trinity for not caring. It's almost like you care.
People always take “not caring” far too literal. I can not care about something and know certain things, and not others. And still not care. Nice attempt at a witty response though.
Lol. How about “you care enough to regularly comment/troll/complain about an entire metropolitan area you don’t like, but don’t care enough to actually know anything about”? Or is it just Trinity you don’t care about, but keep talking about? Or is that East St. Louis, ILLINOIS? I should probably get clarification from you on which you don’t like, but just like to throw shade at.
I’m throwing reality out there on Trinity or Lutheran North. I know NOW about East STL. There’s no shade. They recruit. That’s the only issue. And I’ve mentioned that before. I don’t care about the programs. I care about the way they win, when they win. Like most people on here. This is a chat forum. I can speak about things and not care. The point of these things is to discuss topics. I engage with a lot of people.
EVERY private school recruits. They do it because the rules allow it. Feel free, like everyone else, to have an opinion about it, like I do. When people that claim to not care, yet constantly discuss a topic (particularly about 2 schools that they claim don’t matter) it indicates that you care more than you will admit. If it were purely about perceived “fairness” you’d be railing about Valle in Class 1 or about CBC in Class 6 or about MICDS in 4 and JBS in 3 when they had THEIR dominant runs 6-10 years ago. So the question is, why do 2 small programs that you don’t know anything about because they “don’t matter” suddenly command the focus of so much attention in this forum? I have my suspicions, but I also know how this place erupts whenever it’s called out by name. Either way, you’re correct. You can comment on any topic you choose. Knowledge is not required to participate.
The rules actually do not. So yes knowledge is not required to participate. I’m glad a STL fan finally admitted it. Thank you. Also never stated I know nothing about LN or Trinity. Those schools are focused topics. Most people who comment on here are fans or spectators of smaller schools. Valle doesn’t quite fit that mold in regards to recruitment. Sure, they have “recruited“ some kids over the years. But not to any STL level. Not the full out extent of most other private schools. Valle kinda just plays well, and kids come to play for them instead of the public school. Not really reaching out. The winning does the talking. Still a issue if I’m going to be intellectually honest. But? Less care for me than the blantant recruitment.

Private schools are not limited to admitting students within their municipalities (exception for a 25 or so mile radius around their schools). Unlike a municipal high school, where kids are required to attend that specific school ... private schools attract kids from all over. That’s how parochial and secular private schools work. EVERY private school does this and people that don’t like private schools call it “recruiting”. Which is what it is. What YOU think is happening is that private school coaches are luring kids away from public schools, even though you likely live in rural Missouri and have more instances of public school kids transferring to other public schools. I’m more knowledgeable about MSHSAA’s rules AND geography than you are. You should accept that.
I like how you sidestepped the statement about the private schools that recruit but you are unbothered by. Maybe you did it because that’s just another topic you don’t care or don’t know anything about?
There’s all kinds of limitations in the rules. I’m sure you know that. You have to look them up, because you are butthurt people don’t like your precious city schools lol Why do you care so much? Why are you commenting on mainly public school chat forums? Why address all people who don’t like the blatant disrespect for equal playing fields? Not even close on public schools recruiting. Most public schools play with what they have. Most smaller schools can hardly field a team some years. Some get lucky and a people move in the school district. But that’s about as close as “recruitment” it gets.
The rules are what they are. The fact that you don’t like them or understand them or agree with them doesn’t hurt me, and the fact that you don’t like 2 particular private schools doesn’t either. This is a high school football forum, and that’s what we’re talking about. What HAS become pretty obvious though is that you’ve got a real hard-on for those schools and it isn’t because of “blatant disrespect and level playing fields”. You’re absolutely free to be jealous of any program you choose. My guess is what REALLY has you irritated is that their kids get so much attention, but it’s only the kids from THOSE 2 private schools that have you clutching your pearls. Also, you don’t know much about public schools and how kids get recruited to go to them either. Maybe it’s different when there’s only 1 or 2 high schools where you live? Either way, don’t stop. I enjoy your comments and how you dislike LN and Trinity, even though you admittedly don’t really know anything about them. Don’t change, Jolene. You fit right in.

Good thing Colquitt don't recruit, or most teams would REALLY be in trouble against us! We get 98% of our players from the seven elementary schools in rural Colquitt county, population 46,000! And the counties AIN'T that big, as we have 159!

He's far from the biggest. He's also proven to be a fine resource on SouthCentral Missouri football. We tend to get overly snarkey at times ma'am, please don't take it personal.
Many of us have made comments that where, upon reflection, er, uneducated or lacking the proper research, etc. It's not fatal to just humble yourself and admit, "I was wrong or I said something stupid." It'll be alright. Just roll with it. Give some back, once in a while, but don't let it offend you. Nobody has that kind of power. You really can only "be offended". It's your choice.

It's going to be a long season for you if you don't find a way to lighten up. Have you ever witnessed boys insulting each other for sport? Have you ever noticed them, then laughing and going on with their day? It's what we do. And speaking from experience of referring to someone as a douche and getting put in MoSports time out for it, it's spelled "Douche".
