NWCMO Pick Em 2024 proposal

Had at least one consistent player inquire about the "twist" this year I am proposing so here goes: The main contest goes strictly 11-man and we move 8-man to an eliminator contest i.e. players must pick a number TBD winners each week to advance and it will be winner take all. 8-man will be a STATE contest not just the NWCMO region.

Just a proposal..................but want to know whether you all would be interested in this?

Looking forward to the contest. Making 8 man it's own contest is an idea I support. I know squat about 8 man so I would always guess when picking those games

I do know about 8man but with the blowouts it skews stuff. No matter what, I will participate and make somebody happy that there is somebody worst than you.

All good was making fun of myself..................as for the contest have been studying 8-man schedules all weekend still pondering how to do that right but will get something concrete put in place by end of July.

Growth of the city i.e. residents now live close enough to hear the roar coming from the track. If they've made it this far I suspect they will remain open. It is a particularly good modified/midget track maybe the best in the area for those two classes.

oh i live in one of the newer subdivisions in town and can hear it every saturday night. Now being a fan myself it does not bother me but even if it did principle alone says let her be and yes there are some hard feelings between the track and the city govt but they say time heals all wounds lol

2008 my first full year here! Kearney hosted Fort week 2 both were highly touted the Dogs won 17-7 in the first of what would be two low scoring physical wars (Fort won 13-7 the next season that saw both go to the Dome).

Another bump..................I am all but settled on the upcoming season contests: NWCMO Pick Em regular season will be strictly 11-man. The new regular season contest is Pick 8 Man (State wide) where I select 8 games each week with a descending points ranking i.e. 8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 pt. games with NO bonus/deduction (this doesn't need to morph into Calc) and NO weekly winners simply points winner take all.

The Playoff Challenge will remain NWCMO regional until the State semifinals and, yes, 8-man will be part of that.
