I think Northwest Missouri State wins.
What about Central Missouri vs Missouri st. ?
I remember watching Pitt st beat SMSU a few years ago .

Mo State barley beat a 5-6 Chadron State team out of the horrible RMAC. NWMSU would win by at least two scores. UCM would be even money IMO.

NWMSU is recruiting kids with multiple D1 offers (Ohio, Akron, Kent St, Wyoming types) and I even had a OL in my recruiting class from St. Louis that had an offer from Illinois, but wanted to win instead.

I'm with ya I think maybe 4 MIAA teams could beat or play with them. I'd love to see Missouri State become good but it's a tough climb.

No. They are already a smaller D2. I don't think there's much interest from anywhere in moving up.

A player had a full ride to Illinois and turned it down to go to NWMSU? I live in the Show-Me state ... I would need proof he had a full ride offer to Illinois!

He had the letter, hand written, the next day, because I said the same thing, but it's not really that much of a shock considering well over half of the guys playing at NWMSU each year had at least one full ride D1 offer.

Never heard of any full ride D1's coming to NW out of HS but they do have a good knack at finding talented kids that D1 schools overlook or only offer partial scholarship or transfers that had problems at D1 level for a variety of reasons.

Plus they actually recruit nationally. I would say their roster is 66% MO/KS/IA/NE and the rest mostly from FL/TX/CA.
